Senior Pickleball is coming to Talacre Community Sports Centre! 🥎

We’re excited to launch a brand new Pickleball session just for seniors (60+) at Talacre!

The Pickleball sessions will run every Wednesday from 12pm - 2pm. The first session will be running this Wednesday 18th March!

It’s a great chance to get on court, enjoy some games, and meet other players in a friendly and welcoming setting. We can’t wait to see you on the court!

Great International Women’s Day celebrations took place on Sunday 8th March across Camden Better Centres!

It was wonderful to see members, staff and local organisations coming together to celebrate, connect and learn more about the services available to women across Camden.

A big thank you to Women+Health and Crossroads Women's Centre for hosting information stalls at Kentish Town Sports Centre and sharing the fantastic work they do to support women in our community.

Thank you to everyone who took part, stopped by the stalls and helped make the day such a positive celebration across our centres. Here’s to continuing to support and uplift women in our communities all year round.

Training during Ramadan may be different to you regular routine and that is okay! This is a time to work with your body, not against it.

If you’re staying active:

✨ Focus on lighter, lower-intensity sessions
🌙 Plan workouts close to iftar so you can refuel and rehydrate after
✨ Prioritise mobility, technique, and recovery work
🌙 Be mindful of energy levels and adjust expectations

Ramadan isn’t about pushing harder it’s about balance, discipline, and intention. Maintaining movement in a sustainable way is still progress

Our Monday Senior Multi-Sport session has a new look!

We’re excited to announce that we have expanded our Senior Multi-Sport Session offerings at Swiss Cottage Leisure Centre 🏸

Sessions now include:

🏓 Table Tennis

We’re excited to launch our new Wellbeing Walks at Swiss Cottage Leisure Centre!

These gentle, low-intensity walks are designed to reduce barriers to physical activity while creating space for social connection, fresh air, community, and supporting mental health and wellbeing.

- Meet at Swiss Cottage Leisure Centre
- 30–40 minute relaxed walk
- Return for a hot drink and chat
- Hot drinks free for the first month (then 20% off)

As we observe Ramadan, it’s important to look after our health, especially if you’re managing diabetes. 🌙

Before fasting, speak with your healthcare team to understand what’s safe for you. During the fast, staying light-to-moderately active (like gentle walking or stretching) can support wellbeing, but try to avoid strenuous exercise to reduce the risk of low blood sugar or dehydration. Always listen to your body and adjust your activity as needed. 💪
