RAYNES PARK WIN! VALE go 3RD
Exciting times up at Grand Drive as RPV beat Bedfont Sports
2-0 for their 5th win in 6 league games.

What is it about teams that go down to 10 men. Vale were galvanised after new boy left back Tushaun Walters got a 2nd yellow on 54 minutes. Vale went into 10 man mode and looked like they were all playing in top gear with a much added urgency compared to the previous 53 minutes where they looked a little flat despite a deserved 1-0 lead through top scorer Natty Boakye shot on 43 minutes. Great finish. 7th of the season for Natty. ( Cover Pic 5 )
2) Vale up to 3rd. Early days but a decent start helped by no draws. 7 wins, 4 losses. 11 games gone of 42.
3, 4 & 8) Tobi Ogundega had a great game as captain for the night. Took the honour seriously and marshalled his players very well. Full 90 minutes Clean sheets for Tobi, fellow centre back Mo Kamara and Vale 'keeper Marcus Hill. 👏🏻
9 & 15) Central midfielder Eric Kenko was chosen as Man of the Match in a very good whole team performance.
10) Centre forward Kyen Nicholas came on late in the 86th minute but his class showed as he scored the winner in the 91st minute. Kyen in really good scoring form this season.
11) Jamal Abubakari came on in the 56th minute straight after Vale went to 10 men and played at left back. Had a great game as he defended like a Trojan. What a player. Superb effort.
12) As you can probably tell all the subs contributed hugely to the win and Shamal Edwards was no exception. Came on on 70' and had his best 27 minutes for the Vale since joining Raynes Park in the summer close season. Help win 3 points massively when he superbly controlled GK Marcus Hills long puny upfield, turned, beat a man and set up assisted Kyen Nicholas for the winner. Well played Shams 👏🏼
