Only one week ago, but we are missing our friends from Mokuso dojo in Rio Preto.

A celebration of their important milestone of 20 years of dojo, but also, of sensei Paulo Carvalho who runs the dojo with the utmost integrity - inspiring and being the role model for many in the Aikido community.

Every now and again, in walking the path, we come across an oasis… ❤️

20 years is a fantastic milestone for a dojo, so to be invited to mark Mokuso's anniversary by delivering a seminar was an honour. It was especially good to work closely with a lot of the same people across 4 days, and to see how they opened themselves up to what we were offering is every teacher's dream.

It was swelteringly hot, but people still brought grit and focus to the tatami. 🔥 It is a testament to them and their teacher .

Thank you for having us, for the training and for the great times in between. 💕🙇🏻‍♀️ We look forward to seeing you again!

No final de semana, compartilhamos o tatame com a comunidade de Aikido Brasileira, e graças a iniciativa do SESC de promover acesso e espaço para todos, pudemos ensinar os primeiros passos dentro da arte para pessoas que nunca treinaram antes.
Foi um dia muito especial onde também compartilhamos o silêncio, realizando a prática de Zazen no período da manhã e da tarde.
Gostaríamos de agradecer a todos que vieram, ao nosso querido , ao e a incrível equipe do que acolheu a todos nós.

Yesterday we spent the day at delivering an Aikido immersion. We were joined by many with plenty of experience as well as a strong contingent of absolute beginners trying Aikido for the first time. Everyone trained together in the spirit of trying new things. We would like to thank for the opportunity and for his part in helping to make it happen. A special thank you also to those who travelled from far to join us.

居合道Some very brief snapshots of our Iaido demos over the weekend

Thanks to those who supported and well done in particular to James and Iulia, who are still at very beginning of their Iaido journey. It was their first performance of kata before an audience and they faced it with courage and composure.
