Always wanted to try yoga, but don't want to be the only guy in the room who doesn't know what he's doing? Think you're too old, too fat, too inflexible for yoga? This session is for you!!
The session is ideal for those completely new to yoga: no-one knows what they're doing first time, no one is too old, young, fat, skinny, or inflexible for yoga... yoga is for everyone, and this is the perfect time to find out why.
In this session you’ll be introduced to the many facets of yoga allowing you to discover what yoga can mean for you on both a physical and spiritual level in a fun and open way - questions are encouraged, there will be laugher and quite a bit of falling over and swearing.
The session will be led by Matthew and will start with an introduction to some basic principles, including postural awareness and making shapes (asana) as well as flowing and moving with the breath (vinyasa).
We give clear easy instructions in layman's language (no sanskrit or chanting in our classes), and we focus on key postures, breathing, developing strength and balance. You'll learn to connect mind and body and develop a deeper understanding of your own physicality, and this course will prepare you to join any of our classes at Brewer Street Yoga.
