Made my annual appearance at Southwark Parkrun this weekend to celebrate Sophie Jamieson before baby arrives very shortly!

I’ve really missed running with friends since spraining my ankle a few months ago, so it was lovely to chat with everyone the whole way round 💕

Fingers crossed for longer runs and chats soon 🤞

Are latergrams still a thing? 😅

Things have been so hectic recently that I haven’t posted about my recent visit to the Lake District 😬 terrible, as it’s one of my favourite places in the world!

My sprained ankle has been recovering well, but I was still worried that it wouldn’t be strong enough in time to go. Thankfully, I got physio approval to hike and to even try my first run off the treadmill at Keswick Parkrun! Managed to go even faster than expected which was a nice surprise.

Between my ankle and my friend Maddy recovering from a broken wrist, we weren’t about to head out on any particularly adventurous walks. But we still managed to have a lovely few days exploring the fells at a slower pace.

As always, a weekend is far too short, so I already can’t wait to go back 😁

Swinging into spring 🌸

I don’t know about you, but I’m so happy the sun is shining again in the UK 😅 it feels like the last few months have been so gray and dreary!

I’m so gutted I can’t run at the moment! Before I sprained my ankle on holiday (🤦‍♀️), it felt like things had been going so well with my training. I’d been getting faster, and had really been enjoying putting the new Salomon kit through its paces so I could share it with you all.

I’d been using the Aero Blaze GRVL for a few months, and they’ve been the perfect transition shoe for spring, particularly if you’re running on a mix of road and trail 🔥 light, speedy and just enough grip to go off road!

Hoping it’s not too long before I’m back in my running shoes 🤞

Moments before disaster struck! 😱

Never thought I’d seriously sprain my foot less than 24 hours into a two week holiday 🙃 looks like running and hiking are out, and sitting around drinking wine is in! There could be worse things I guess? 🫣
