As we look forward to some of the best tennis of the year with Wimbledon finals weekend upon us, a number of our dedicated junior players had the opportunity to experience The Championships up close.

This year, we were also delighted to reward one of our hardest-working juniors with a very special experience- tickets to Court No. 1 for the day. A well-deserved reward for his commitment, dedication, and hard work throughout the year.

We witnessed some incredible tennis, cheered on the players, and had the chance to meet some of the amazing team behind YONEX UK , who continue to support us year after year ❤️

Lastly, we would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who supports our coaching team. We love being able to create opportunities like this for our players, and experiences such as these wouldn’t be possible without your continued encouragement. We are incredibly proud of every player who trains with us and look forward to seeing their hard work continue to pay off, both on and off the court

Let’s give a big cheer to our U18 boys’ team for their second win- this time against South Hampstead! 💪

Fresh from success at the Australian Open, Naqi will join members of the Globe and other well-wishers for celebratory drinks, nibbles and a Question + Answer session about his experience as a VI player. There will also be an opportunity for attendees to watch (or try) some VI tennis with Naqi and other VI players. Children are very much welcome and encouraged to take part in the Q+A session. The event will take place between 6.00 and 9.00pm on Friday, 27th February in the Globe Clubhouse.

Huge congrats to our member Naqi Rizvi, the world's top-ranked visually impaired tennis player in category B1. He's competing at the Australian Open this month, making history as the first Grand Slam to feature visually impaired competition. Naqi's journey is a testament to perseverance - losing his sight at 7, he found his voice on the court and now advocates for visually impaired (VI) tennis globally. Passionate about advancing opportunities for visually impaired players, Naqi's determination inspires us all. We have decorated the clubhouse ready for this Saturday's Bubbles and Balls event from 5.30pm! Join us, there'll be games for the kids, expertly selected bubbles and homemade mulled wine, and a range of delicious snacks. No sign up required.

Immediately before Bubbles and Balls, it's the Annual General Meeting 2025 from 4pm. It's your opportunity to hear from the committee on the years highlights, and vote on resolutions. This year, you are invited to vote on resolutions for a kitchen and bar renovation, for a second phase of the grounds project, and to install netting between courts 3 and 4, and 4 and 5. WHAT. A. WEEK! 🎾🔥

Our invitational players took part in a week long tennis camp with our amazing coaches and they absolutely smashed it! 💪

From fitness drills to baseline rallies, sprints, and matchplay, every player pushed themselves to the very limit. Showing incredible resilience, passion, and determination everyday ❤️

We couldn’t be prouder of our players effort, improvement and teamwork and our coaches who delivered such a fantastic week 😊
