Where do ankles come into skiing?!
Ankles are often forgotten in skiing as they are inside your boots but they are vital! Here’s why:
- they are first joint to start your skiing turn
- they take any impact from bumps and grooves when you’re skiing
- They constantly make minor balance corrections and adjustments when you’re skiing
- Ankle mobilisation helps to build calf strength which is vital in protecting your knee .
