The Train With Sama group fitness programme is growing!

And I’m VERY pleased to be able to share a one-stop shop graphic that I’ve spent 18 hours making- no AI generated content here 😆

Three different classes, three different vibes, but one thing in common: getting women stronger, moving well and actually enjoying exercise 🙌

From building the foundations at Body Strong, to the energy of Sculpt, and the challenge of Power Club, I’m proud to offer a strength-focused class for every stage, ability and starting point.

Why? Because strength training is one of the best things we can do for ourselves as we move through our 30s, 40s, 50s and beyond! It helps us build and maintain muscle and bone strength, support our joints, improve balance and mobility, and feel stronger and more capable in everyday life.

And it’s all done alongside a bunch of lovely, local, like-minded women like you 🫵

So whether you’re completely new to strength training, getting back into it, or ready to challenge yourself a little more, there’s a place for you here.

It doesn’t look like much, but I genuinely think there’s been a bit of progress in my mission to achieve my first traditional pull-up. “Traditional” being a pronatated grip (palms down), and starting from a dead hang.

Before there was a pain in my right shoulder I was nervous to even try and pull past, but I’ve really been working on strengthening my lats, mainly through scapular pulls and lifting heavier with my bent over rows and upper body work.

Still feels like a long way to go though!

Peanut butter is one of those foods I didn’t like until I reached my 30s, and now I can’t get enough. So apologies if you’re not quite as grown up as me yet (😉) because if you don’t like peanut butter you’ll think these are vile. But if you do, you’re in for a sweet, satisfying and actually pretty nutritious treat.

Each date bite contains roughly 5g of protein, 2.6g of fibre and nearly HALF the amount of sugar as a Snickers bar. 🙌

Keep them in the fridge and enjoy!

Save this post to try over the weekend ♥️

Introducing BODY STRONG 💪

I’ve wanted to create a strength class that feels approachable, supportive and not intimidating for women who want to get stronger, but perhaps aren’t sure where to start. And now it’s here!

Body Strong will be a slower-paced, full-body strength session, with a focus on building strong foundations, improving mobility, and developing core strength, stability and control. And all set to an empowering soundtrack to give you an uplifting start to the day.

Whether you’re new to strength training, getting back into exercise, or simply want to feel stronger and more capable in your everyday life, I want this to be a class where you feel comfortable, challenged and supported, whatever your starting point.

From motherhood to menopause and every stage in between, Body Strong is for women who want to feel strong in their bodies. 🤍

📅 Launching Monday 21 September

I had to share this Meal Deal from Tesco because I’ve had it twice this week already and it’s excellent for many reasons!

Blueberry Yoghurt with Granola*:
Less calories and more protein than the yoghurt/fruit/seed mix I had at home yesterday, plus a whopping 9g of fibre in that little pot.
*Not part of the meal deal but this girl needed breakfast.

Lentil chips for a pre or post-lunch snack. Just watch out if you’re tracking calories as it’s a bag “for two” (yeah right).

Jerk BBQ Pulled Pork Grain Bowl:
This is an insanely good lunch bowl by Real food. Nothing to HIDE. A great size, full of flavour, bit of a kick and more protein/fibre than your typical sandwich. My entire office knows what I think of this bowl, I’ve gone on about it that much.

All washed down with lots of water and an afternoon Poppi in Raspberry Rose, the best flavour (in my opinion) of this low sugar, low calorie can of pop.

In total, this breakfast and lunch provides just under 800 kcals, 48g of protein and 22g of fibre. Yes please. And for just £7.25 with a Tesco Clubcard, I really do feel like I’ve won at life this week. 😆

As the summer holidays begin to wind down, you might be thinking about getting back on track. Back to your workouts. Back into a routine. Eating a little better. Being more consistent.

I love this and I’m right there with you BUT… I don’t want you to think about it as “starting again”, ok?

Because when you think about starting again, it can feel like you’ve already failed. You started before, you stopped, and now you’re back at the beginning.

So you start again with all the best intentions, and then life happens. You get busy. You go on holiday. You’re tired. You miss a few workouts. Your routine changes. And suddenly you feel like you need to start AGAIN. 🫠

It becomes an endless cycle of starting, stopping and feeling sh*t about yourself until the motivation comes back.

📣 Listen up, my Queens. You don’t need to start again. You just need to start.

It doesn’t have to be Monday, September, or the first day of a new month. You don’t need to wait until you feel motivated, your period has been and gone, or until you’re ready to be “good” again.

Just do something TODAY that feels good for you. Go for a walk. Do ten minutes of stretching. Pick up some weights. Book a class. (I’ve heard Sculpt and Power Club are particularly good.)

It doesn’t matter what it is. Just move your body in whatever way feels right for you today.

And if you stop again at some point, that’s ok too. The goal isn’t to never fall out of a routine. It’s to stop seeing those moments as failure, and to know that you can pick up from wherever you left off.

Just start ✨

Happy Campers 🌳

Another magical time had at Fox Wood Camping which we practically had to ourselves this year, having gone mid week.

My husband insists on cooking everything on the fire, so although the pictures don’t look appetising at all, we had really delicious dinners:

Night 1- Burgers and sausages with pre-made potato salad and tomatoes
Night 2- Steaks with pan-fried cheesy gnocchi and more tomatoes
Night 3- Slow-cooked chilli jackets.
All washed down with several glasses of wine and many games of “Would You Rather?”.

A few more days of my summer break and then I’m back to classes from Monday!
