The Queens Platinum Jubilee

We really want to be of our Queens 70th Jubilee this year and while alot of celebrations are and will be happening all year, from Thursday 2nd - Sunday 5th June, there will be 4 days of celebrations with lots of things going on up and down the country. I’m sure there will be lots happening in Surrey too!

We will be doing our afternoon teas (special price of £14 per person) for all 4 days which will be avaliable for collection between 10:30-13:00 each day with pre orders.
More information and menu to come soon. We can also cater for you garden and/or street party, please give us a call well in advance.

But this post is about some very special and one-off art pieces which we have had commissioned by two artists (Lesley and Anna) from Sea On Glass in Devon.
The unique pieces are currently on route to us and once received we will post some pictures and their initial bidding prices, all three will be on display at the cafe from 1st May till the week of the celebrations in June.
This would be the ultimate special gift for that very special someone or yourself 💞.

✍️ Ahead of the 70th anniversary of her Accession to the throne tomorrow, The Queen has written a message thanking the public and her family for their support, and looking forward to Platinum Jubilee celebrations over the coming year.

In her message, she references the broadcast she made on her 21st birthday in which she pledged her life’s work to the people of the Commonwealth with the words:

“I declare before you all that my whole life whether it be long or short shall be devoted to your service.”
