That last half a km or rep really doesn't matter that much, if there's something else you need more.
If you're sick you might not adapt to the exercise effectively
If you're tired you might get run down
If your mental health is in need of some work, then turning off the headphones and walking for a bit might be a good idea.
I'm not trying to give you excuses, just telling you to go easy on yourself if you don't smash your workout as planned.
As a coach, hearing about stuff like this helps with programming and load management/focus. For athletes (you are an athlete) using fixed plans or LLM plans, it's important to appreciate the wider context and life stresses, and consider why things aren't going as expected in your training
