The first of 3 Ne Waza (groundwork) contests at the end of a 3.5 hour grading against Sensei Ian. He may be 71 but he’s still a tough old bar steward!

Congratulations to Sensei Mo Syed who passed his Nidan (2nd Dan) grading at London Ju Jitsu. Sensei Mo started training with us when he was 44 years old having not trained in any martial art since doing some Ju Jitsu at University. Over the last 13 years he’s earned both 1st and 2nd Dan in Japanese Ju Jitsu and he’s also taken up Brazilian Ju Jitsu at which he’s now a purple belt. I think Sensei Mo is a great example that you are never too old to take up martial arts! Here he demonstrates two of twelve 2nd Dan Kata as part of his grading.

Congratulations to Iulian Dandu on passing his Shodan (1st Dan) at London Ju Jitsu. Very well deserved not only for the way he trains but also for the enthusiastic way he passes his knowledge on to the juniors. Here are the first of his 25 throws.

Huge congratulations to Iulian Dandu on passing his Shodan (1st Dan) Black Belt grading and Sensei Mo Syed on passing his Nidan (2nd Dan). A fantastic grading by both! Thanks to Sensei Lindsay Comens of Hakuho Ju Jutsu, Sensei Jim Trowers of Waregachi Ju Jitsu and Shihan Salur Onural from Tokueikan Aiki Ju Jutsu for being on the grading panel.
