Failed long run yesterday.. I thought it was just because I left it too late in the day so it was too hot and hilly, then I ended up feeling progressively worse throughout the day and spent the whole night awake with a fever, body aches and cough from hell🤣 so I guess that’s why

The 2 things that I think have really helped me to go from a bad swimmer to above average for a triathlete are doing hard sessions with people that are faster than me, then taking some easy technique sessions alone to try to fix the technique issues that come up!

It is more than possible to have fat loss whilst socialising each week, you just need the right strategy to work around it and to make some compromises where possible.

We never tell any of our clients to skip out on any social occasions, regardless of the goal, it's not necessary AND it makes it way less likely that you'll stick to your deficit long term if you constantly feel like you're missing out!

The swaps in this video aren't about saying one food is "good" and another is "bad." I recommend them because they can help you:
✅ Increase protein (so you stay fuller and maintain muscle)
✅ Lower calories without sacrificing portion size
✅ Add more volume to meals to keep hunger under control
✅ Make it easier to stick to a calorie deficit long term

The best diet is the one you can actually enjoy and stay consistent with, not the one that cuts out all your favourite foods. If we can make swaps where it doesn't make a difference to us, then it just make sticking to a calorie deficit easier!

I’ve gone from nearly drowning in my first 750m open water swim to a sub 60 minute 3.8km open water swim

Swimming can feel like one step forwards and one step backwards particularly when life stops you being consistent but if you zoom out you can see how far you’ve come 👌🏼 🏊‍♀️
