I am literally walking into my third brain surgery today, therefore I kindly request your thoughts and prayers.
After the second surgery it was very difficult repeating the story to members. I became highly sensitive to lights, sounds and anything raising my blood pressure. Hence i feel it fitting for me to run over what happened and answer all questions needed so it would be easier for us once i am back.
In September, I had a stroke where the main artery in the brain ruptured. It was a sudden thunderclap pain, which even though at the time I could not move for a couple of hours, i ignored it since i was away with family. I drove back home the next day, hoping the pain would subside, therefore i persevered to see how it pans out. It never faded, and i was admitted to hospital a week later.
They discovered 6 aneurysms, which is a large bubble on the side walls of the artery or vessels formed over time and pressure. One of these burst, which caused bleeding on my brain for over a week. I am extremely fortunate to be here.
This will be my third surgery in which they are loading my brain with a total of 2 stents and 5 coils. They are being loaded from an artery in the groin, straight up into the head.
One can be born with aneurysms or they could form over time. Factors in my case may be due to not sleeping enough for 20years. 15 as a bus driver and 5 years since opening the gym. Add multiple caffeine shots, heavy lifting, long stimulating work hours and the spikes of bp would increase in intensity.
Going forward I may have to give up training. Do not feel sorry for me or show me a sad face. See you soon.
Thank you for the love and support.
Strength and honour
