Now weβre entering the new year, Iβm taking some time to reflect on what I and the wonderful team here at Teachsport Lambeth have achieved in 2022.
Some of our key achievements in 2022:
- We supported a number of schools through challenging times such as lockdowns and the cost of living crisis
- We helped 1000βs of children to be more physically active and ENJOY movement
- We participated in the annual Teachsport conference where we were able to share our experiences and learnings with other likemided leaders and coaches
- We supported sponsorship for , the exciting boxer from South London
- We delivered community events that were open to all, aiming to get both children and adults more involved in physical activity
We delivered numerous camps throughout the year, this year was our biggest to date!
We joined the , connecting other sports coaches, teachers and institutions together whilst also helping to develop the amazing staff across the network
There was certainly a lot to be proud of in 2022, but our 'never sit still' mentality means we have big plans in 2023. Some of these plans include:
- Increasing school delivery to reach more children and make a bigger impact throughout our community
- Continue to build a valued team of like-minded coaches, delivering the highest quality to our children and teachers
- Develop our partnership with aspire and networking with like-minded people
- Provide further CPD and leadership opportunities for staff
- Increase physical activity levels further within schools and the community
- Expand holiday camps and introduce new & exciting events that cater for a wider number of children
- Raise the profile of netball across schools in Lambeth and increase female participation
- Continue our mission to make sport and physical activity accessible to EVERYONE.
We absolutely love doing what we do week in and week out and constantly strive to be a part of the difference and inspire the next generation to be more physically active.
2023 here we come!
