Using the Reformer as a blueprint there will be a focus on developing the body through the exercises, understanding the connections within the work.

Our next Teachers’ Classroom is on Wednesday 27th May at 2pm

Recently in one of the Workshops we explored the Teaser. Using the different pieces of apparatus to find new ways of approaching it. Thinking of the Swan helped to lift rather than sinking when we scoop. By using the Double Leg Stretch we understood the 2-way stretch and how to work towards the Teaser.

Last week in France at the Pilates Magic Retreat was truly special ✨🇫🇷

Every time I learn from Lori, I come away inspired with new ideas, deeper understanding, and techniques I can immediately bring into my teaching. It was also such a pleasure to learn from Katie presenting alongside her — such an incredible combination of knowledge, creativity, and passion.

I’m already using some of these techniques with my clients and they are absolutely loving them!

One of the best parts of the retreat was connecting with so many amazing fellow Pilates teachers from around the world — so inspiring to share, learn, and grow together 🤍

A huge thank you to Hannah for doing such an amazing job organising everything so beautifully, and to Ian, whose delicious food kept us all so well looked after 😋✨

Joseph Pilates invented ‘Contrology’ which we now know today as ‘Pilates’. His book ‘Return to Life through Contrology’ shows the method and intention behind the work.

Pilates has become a trend. It’s being sold to people as a way to ‘get a summer body’ or ‘make you feel the burn’. These aren’t real, long-lasting results. They’re quick fixes that have none or very little of the original method and teachings.

At our studio we teach Pilates the way it was intended as Contrology, using the full system of apparatus. Our teachers have years of training and are part of the Joseph Pilates lineage. We know what Pilates actually is and how to teach it for your body and your goals!
