Vision for Team Greenwich.
To build on what we have and set the foundation for a performance team. For those who have been following my twitter feed, you’ve seen that I’ve been working on a bigger project that will see Sports in Greenwich reach a new level by the introduction of a performance level. That will mean that Team Greenwich will take on the form as a truly intermediate level of competition where students can compete at a high level while enjoying the recreational aspect that comes with a student led club. This takes into consideration the feedback of being able to cater to both students with elite ambition that takes their sports seriously to those who want to enjoy the sport in a semi-recreational way. So far, we have 23 teams with 17 of them competing in BUCS and the rest competing in LUSL. Vision for Team Medway.
Been working on reviving the sports teams in Medway with the support and collaborations of local clubs and stakeholders. The future of Team Medway is bright with combat sport in full swing as well as Water Sport prospects. We have 8 Sports Team with a committee, 3 of which will be competing in BUCS. We definitely want to get back our Rugby team which disappeared during Covid and hasn’t recovered. The proximity of Medway Park has allowed us to support the start of an athletics team using the 2012 pre camp running track. My first objective is to stabilise all sports to ensure they are running as optimal as possible while slowly developing the new sports through our recreational program .
