🏀 Basketball Court Reopening at Gibbons Recreation Ground! 🎉

We’re excited to be joining Access Sport and community partners for the official reopening of the newly renovated basketball courts at Gibbons Recreation Ground! 🙌

📅 Friday 28 August 2026
⏰ 12.00 pm – 4.00 pm
📍 Gibbons Recreation Ground, Brent, London, NW10 9BX

There’s plenty happening throughout the afternoon, including:

🏀 12.30–1.00 pm – Hoopz Pan Disability Basketball with Motion4Kids, alongside Wheelchair Basketball with Brixton Ballers
🏀 1.30–2.00 pm – Skills clinic
🏀 2.30–3.00 pm – Girls’ session
🏀 3.15–3.45 pm – Shooting competition with the shooting machine
🎁 Plus giveaways, taster sessions and plenty of opportunities to get involved!

The coached taster sessions may be 30 minutes, but everyone is welcome to enjoy the court throughout the afternoon and meet the coaches and community groups.

Our Motion 4 Kids & SPM Camps are back in Hammersmith & Fulham and Barnet, bringing children exciting days filled with:

✅ New friends
✅ Confidence-building fun
✅ Free hot meals for all attendees

Free places are available for children on Free School Meals, and paid places are also available from £20 per day per child.

A Huge Congratulations to Max! 🎉

We are incredibly proud to celebrate a fantastic milestone for Coach Max, who has officially completed his apprenticeship with SportsPlayMotion!

Max has shown brilliant commitment, growth and professionalism throughout his journey with us. From working with a wide range of young people across different settings, including pupil referral units, sports mentoring programmes and special needs schools, he has continued to develop into a confident, reliable and inspiring coach.

We are delighted to share that Max is now progressing into his role as Junior Lead Coach, and we could not be happier to see how far he has come.

His patience, positive attitude and passion for supporting young people truly reflect what SPM is all about: helping young people build confidence, develop new skills and enjoy sport in a safe, inclusive and supportive environment.

Well done, Max! We are so proud of your progress and look forward to seeing you continue to grow and make an even bigger impact as a coach. Your journey is only just beginning! 👏
