Congratulations to Rhys Lewis on signing with Taita District Cricket Club for the 2026/27 Cricket Wellington campaign.

A highly experienced cricketer, Rhys spent four years within the Middlesex Academy, captaining the side for two of those seasons. His performances for the Academy and Middlesex 2nd XI earned him selection for the Super 4s, before going on to represent the England Young Lions.

Now representing Berkshire in the National Counties competition, Rhys also brings a wealth of overseas experience having completed three previous stints in Australia.

This time, it's a new challenge across the Tasman as Rhys heads to Wellington for his first taste of cricket in New Zealand. Having heard nothing but rave reviews, he's looking forward to meeting everyone at Taita and playing a key role both on and off the field.

Marshfield Cricket Club South African overseas, Izel Cilliers, signed off her 2026 campaign in style with her third century of the summer, taking her season tally to an outstanding 866 runs at an average of 54.13.

Across the past two seasons, Izel has now amassed over 1,600 runs for Marshfield, averaging just shy of 60 with the bat.

Another incredible campaign from Izel and, more importantly, a true model professional both on and off the field.

Congratulations to Buzz Kemp on re-signing with St Brigid's/St Louis Cricket Club for the 2026/27 Cricket Southern Bayside campaign.

Following a standout 2025/26 season at Browns Reserve, Buzz captained the Second Grade to a Grand Final Premiership, while also being recognised for his contribution on and off the field with the Club's John Donegan Award for Best Clubman.

After making such an impact both on and off the field last summer, Buzz will once again look to play a key role for the Saints as they set their sights on going back-to-back this season.
