Sunshine on a bike. I love this little vid of Georgia and her Saffron Yellow Thoroughbred. It epitomises the Steed Bikes vibe. We make beautifully crafted bikes that our a joy to ride and put a smile on your face every time you ride
I also love how easily Georgia's able to pick up her bike and carry it around. She's only little and so needs something lightweight to carry it up stairs or lift onto trains or bike racks. Our bikes weigh in at around 10.75kg.

Looks cute but what’s it like to ride?’ We get asked this a lot. Fair question! A lot of our riders come to us saying they like the look of our bikes but, understandably, want to be sure they are comfortable reliable and fun to ride. We have a few independent bike shops we sell through but most of you buy online. So we thought long and hard about how we give confidence to our online customers who want to be sure they’re making the right decision. Here’s what we came up with.

1. Ask cycling professionals to test ride
2. Ask existing customers for their views
3. Ask cycling journalists to test ride

Stallions assemble! Introducing the first of our Stallion focussed photos from our recent shoot. Loads of people think this is our more expensive bike but it’s actually cheaper than the Thoroughbreds - by quite a bit! We’ve worked hard to keep the price of this black beauty as low as possible to make it more affordable to more people. It still has all the quality components we love to use and is an all round awesome bike. Only annoying thing is that I got my predictions wrong and we’ve already run out of most sizes. They’ve proved much more popular than I’d accounted for. What an idiot running out of bikes at the most popular time of the year for bikes. We live and learn! Extra Stallions next time I promise xx

It’s my birthday today. I’m definitely more comfortable behind the camera but they pulled me in for a couple of shots and I’m glad they did as I love this photo. For me this encapsulates what Steed Bikes is all about. Joyful, bright and beautiful bikes that are made for everybody. And today, on my birthday, I am happy. Not just because I’m still in bed eating a cupcake with a candle in it, but because I look at this photo and think about how far our little brand has come since its 1st birthday. We entered a saturated market and pitted ourselves against big brands with big money. But, with a few false starts, and a lot of graft somehow we made it to the top. Being voted best single speed bike by is the best birthday present a small bike brand can receive. No wonder I’m smiling in this photo. Older, knackered, but bloody happy 🧁 😁

Feels like Summer 😎After the sun filled weekend we’ve just had it’s finally starting to feel like Summer’s here or at least just round the corner. We sell a lot of bikes this time of year but the good news is we have lots of bikes in stock in preparation including this super cute pistachio green Thoroughbred. Order before midday and we’ll get him to you the very next day

Modern classic. I like this shot as it picks out the details that give our bikes their modern classic look. You can see our frames have multiple cage bolts and rings in it allowing you to fix water bottles, pumps, mudguards, panniers, racks and baskets. You can see our retro crankset, pedals and wheel spokes, the design of which was inspired by the UK’s golden age of cycling in the 1950s. You can see the stitched vegan leather handgrips and saddle with gold embossed Steed on the side and, if you look closely, the chrome etching at the end of the handlebars. The toughened, high gloss powder coated steel frame shines through in the photo as does the chrome swallow necked handlebars. And zooming in will show you the sturdy grip of the Kenda puncture resistant tyres.

Pistachio - great in ice cream, even better on bikes. Our Pistachio Green Thoroughbred IS the moment. The surprise hit of the season, this green gelding was only meant to be a limited edition colour but it’s been so popular amongst you fashion forward lot its galloped its way into becoming a permanent fixture.

Why not go full green god and team it with a green outfit like the lovely here 💚
