Designed to be a beautiful object, where form follows function. This is a close view of our glass fiber reinforced nylon footplate with subtle mold texturing applied. The surfaces were carefully developed with discommon where even the smallest details were tended to. The wheels are are cast aluminum with our e-coat applied then wrapped in hand-poured polyurethane for a comfortable walk.

At the heart of Shifts Ultra, there is a state-of-the-art brushless DC motor distributing its power across eight polyurethane wheels through a precision machined gearbox. The intuitive control is achieved by a custom control module in each shoe. They adapt to user walking in real-time by exchanging acceleration and gyro data with each other and running them through a neuromuscular model.
