🗣️ Comment “PURE” if you want to hit consistent draws!

Control your finish, control your shot shape.

Don’t allow the follow through to just be a result of what happened before it. Don’t allow yourself to just finish anywhere.

If you want to draw every ball, you need to learn where to finish every time.

If you finish in the same place every time — with the club face closed to the shaft and the club path directed out to the right ➡️ — every ball is going to draw.

Those same alignments and geometry are still present in the follow through.

So when you hit the shot, feel like you’re keeping the club head down the target line for as long as possible (as an exaggerated feel if you normally swing over the top and hit slices) ➡️ with enough twist of the face so it’s closed relative to that outward path.

A club face that is closed to the path will tilt the spin axis and make the ball curve right to left.

These may seem like extreme feels, but they’re necessary if you want to create the draw shot shape you’re looking for. 🏌

🗣️ Comment “PURE” if you want more solid, consistent impact!

At impact, we want to see a few key things in place.

First, weight forward ➡️

And the shaft leaning slightly forwards, which is much easier to do if the club face is positioned correctly in the delivery phase.

We talked about how the club face should be pointing slightly down at P6 — because from there, it’s very easy to just turn into the ball with no compensations.

Contrast that with an open club face — if you just turn into the ball from there, the face is non-functional....forcing you to make compensations through impact.

So at impact, look for:
Weight forward ➡️
Shaft leaning slightly forwards ➡️
Lead arm and shaft in a straight line 📏

From there, move into the follow-through keeping the lead arm and shaft lined up for as long as possible. That helps keep the club head above the stick (working in-to-out), which is key for drawing the ball.

And through impact, make sure there’s enough twist of the face so the face is slightly closed to the shaft — not open. 🏌

🗣️ Comment “PURE” to learn how to train better rhythm into your golf swing!

Controlling the finish and stopping in a very particular spot is key to improving your rhythm.

We always have to start by defining that end point specifically, and then we'll work through the clubs to help you train this rhythm into your swing.

We'll start with a pitching wedge here. As the speed of the swing increases with the longer clubs, your ability to control these forces becomes more difficult — so doing this with a wedge is much easier than doing it with a driver. 👍

Take your setup and move into a follow through with the following checkpoints in mind.

Number one, both arms are straight and the trail arm is parallel to the ground. We're not going to swing past this point. 🏌

At the same time, the shoulders are turned about 90 degrees towards the target.

There’s been no rolling or flipping of the wrists through impact. The alignment with the lead arm and the shaft being straight....and the trail arm underneath the lead arm....is taken all the way to that same position.

No roll, no flip—just learning to control the forces into the follow through with immediate improvements in ball striking consistency ✔️

If you notice that your lead shoulder is too far back at impact with driver, and you’re getting behind the ball and swinging across it, then you could benefit from some of that feeling we talked about with the iron — a little more forward motion ➡️

Just enough to help get the lead shoulder back to its original setup position.

That’s really what you want to look for with the driver — the lead shoulder returning to its original position at impact.

With the iron, and any shot from the ground, pay attention to getting that lead shoulder just a little more forwards at impact compared to where it was at setup ➡️

These tips will help you strike the ball more solid and compress it properly 👍

🗣️ Comment “PURE” if you want to stop slicing your driver and gain effortless distance!

Driver Mistake — the LEAD SHOULDER moving too far back.

When trying to hit up on the ball, which many of you think you’re supposed to do with the driver, a common mistake is positioning the lead shoulder too far behind the ball.

The first mistake I see is at setup. You may have been told to lean behind the ball, but when the lead shoulder gets too far back, the bottom of your swing moves too far back as well.

From there, you start cutting across the ball, slicing it, and losing a lot of distance.

The second mistake happens during the swing. You come into the ball thinking you're supposed to hit up on it, and your lead shoulder moves excessively backwards ⬅️

You must pay attention to these driver keys if you want to eliminate your slice and gain distance.

Comment "PURE" to learn the secret to making ball first, ground second contact every swing! 🏌️‍♂️

There’s a current trend in golf instruction that’s quite dangerous — teachers telling you to start jumping up and down on force plates like a cat on a hot tin roof.

It’s causing endless confusion about what you’re actually supposed to do — and it’s definitely not helping you become a better golfer.

All you need to do is set up to the ball with your weight predominantly on your lead side.

Start with about 80% of your weight on that lead leg, then simply turn around it and hit the ball. 🎯

Keep your weight in the same place — and the swing becomes infinitely easier. 👍

Comment "PURE" to learn the tilting secret that leads to consistently compressed shots!

Remember, the neck is turning and tilting during a good backswing.

That space you're trying to create for the shoulder to move under?

👉 It’s actually created by the correct turning and tilting of the neck — not by lifting the chin.

From the front view at the top of the backswing, you'll notice my face stays covered by my cap.

From the down the line view at the top, you’ll see enough body tilt to create a backswing with a stable pivot and stable inclination to the ground.

✅ 90° shoulder turn
❌ No chin lift

The checkpoints here are seeing that your face is covered at P1, P4, as well as P9.

Remember this key!
Backswing: shoulders tilted left
Follow-through: shoulders tilted right

Covering the face throughout the swing confirms correct tilt and rotation 💪

Try this simple but powerful drill 💥

🟢 Place an obstacle just outside your trail hip — this station even works indoors.
✅ Focus on your lead knee flexing + your trail leg straightening up to the top
⛔️ Avoid bumping into the obstacle — that’s your feedback!
🎯 Feel the trail hip move BACK and TOWARDS the target

This trains you to rotate your hips correctly and sets you up for pure, compressed ball-first contact!

🗣️ Comment “PURE” if you want to compress the ball like the best players!

Driver vs. Iron — the lead shoulder “dot” difference.

If you look at the best players in the world and pay attention to their lead shoulder, you’ll notice something important.

If we put a dot on the lead shoulder at setup, and another at impact, you’ll see that with the driver, those two dots line up closely. The only difference is that the lead shoulder at impact is slightly higher.

But when you look at iron swings, you’ll see the lead shoulder at impact is also a little more forwards. That forward movement is what helps them hit down on the ball and compress it properly.

So think about the lead shoulder differently depending on the club:

With the driver:
Lines up more closely to setup, but slightly higher ⬆️..helping you create a shallow attack angle

With irons, hybrids and woods:
Works slightly more forwards ➡️..helping you to hit down on the ball and compress it 👍

🗣️ Comment “PURE” if you want to hit your driver higher and farther!

Driver Downswing — the LEAD SHOULDER change you must make..

After making your backswing, there’s a SLIGHT shift down and forward with the lead shoulder in transition — but very quickly that lead shoulder needs to start working UP and BACK.

It stops working down and forward ↘️ sooner vs. an iron swing.

If it continued working down and forward for too long, the descent of the club into the ball would be too steep, making it difficult to create that shallow attack angle and hit up on the ball correctly.

Master this move and you'll launch it higher and farther with much less effort. 🏌

Comment "PURE" if you struggle with consistency and want to build a simple, more repeatable swing!

A more consistent swing path will result if you're able to conform to the Head On The Wall drill.

If you look at a lot of great swings — they may all look slightly different, but one thing they all have in common = the ability to maintain their inclination to the ground as they swing back, down, and through.

📐 This inclination stays consistent in good players.

Conversely, it changes a lot in higher handicap golfers.

💡 The great thing about this drill?

You can do it with or without a club, with or without a ball.

You could just rest your head on a wall at home, get in your golf posture, hold an imaginary club, and simply practice the movement — training the pivot parts of your swing to be more like the pros.
