Do you know what keeps you going?

If you are beginner this is really really helpful. It helps you to balance your weight and I love how I can lift my feet higher this way and hold it for longer time.

It's and excellent Asana for pelvic floor health, stretches ankles, groins and back and helps in stimulating proper digestion. It's also called as Garland Pose.

Let's just make our way to the complete pose ..let's try these modifications...

Never hesitate to use props..we all have our journey ๐Ÿ˜Š

Do you have fears?

Letโ€™s talk about fearsโ€ฆwe all get frustrated by life, job, may be practice sometimesโ€ฆ then we take resolutions and then Monday comes are we are back to square. Why is it so? Is bringing change so difficult? But why change at the first place is the question? Isnโ€™t it.. so people who aspire to do something they succeed and many chicken out because we have fearsโ€ฆ

Here are few fears:-
* Fear to start or start again
* Fear of failure
* Fear of unknown
* Fear of the processโ€ฆ itโ€™s a long journey with lots of efforts

So why are we talking about this โ€ฆ is because fear is part of our life and will remain their but only at the beginning of the journey but it fizzles out as you move ahead.

Good part is to acknowledge and accept these and start the journey!!!

So regret of not making the journey stays longer and most of the time itโ€™s permanent..

A tale of injury and healing !!

While yoga helps us in healing in mind body and soul.. you may sometimes injure yourself while doing asana practice.. this is very common (just like any other thing in life).. So is Yoga to be blamed.. the answer is no.

I recently experienced my first yoga injury while doing full splits which i have been doing for a while now but suddenly i pulled my inner thighs or may be my glutes and was not able to get up. Heard some crackling sounds and thought that my hip is broken :)Thankfully i was able to walk and do my normal routine stuff but doing few Yoga postures was just impossible.. i was very scared that it happened all because of me.. how can this happen to a Yoga teacher? How will i teach my classes?

So why am i telling you all of this, just to share my experience of healing :-

myself heal - Itโ€™s crazy how judgmental and impatient we can be with ourselves at times. Trust me healing is not easy. There were plenty of days when I was grumpy, annoyed, and frustrated as i was not able to do some poses. But i decided not do so poses which keep straining those muscles and don't let my ego come in the way.

off the Mat - And while I wouldnโ€™t necessarily call my injury a gift, it took my body giving out for me to remember and return to many of the things I loved about yoga to begin withโ€”the things that have nothing to do with perfecting the asanas....but it helped my practice.

Off the Mat literally for few weeks. I have increased the duration of my meditation sessions and read a lot about Yoga Philosophy.

my body more than ever - Although it is a small injury nothing major thankfully but i learnt a BIG lesson of my life.. to love my body, nourish it, keep it healthy. If something feels forced or strained, I back off or modify the pose and just follow what suits my body. Now a days, what I remember most is not the pose that I couldnโ€™t do, but the joy of practicing each and every day!

Itโ€™s not the destination but the journey, the experiences which makes it beautiful. If we think about the end we will surely miss the magic which gets us there!

Patience is not simply the ability to wait it is how we behave while we are waiting - Joyce Meyer

Svadhisthana or the sacral chakra is the second primary chakra. This chakra is said to be blocked by fear, especially the fear of death. Opening this chakra can helps boosting creativity, manifested desires and confidence.

Itโ€™s just located just above the p***c bone.

You may practice affirmations to help you heal and balance sacral chakra . I am living a pleasurable life. I am grateful for the joy of being me. I am comfortable in my body
