Normally at this time of the week we would be announcing our charity of the week.

This week we would like to give a shout out to all the incredible charities out there as we deal with an unprecedented national emergency. From the hospital and hospice charities to those charities supporting the most vulnerable people in our society, we say thank you and please know that you are in our thoughts. You all do an incredible job!

To our followers we ask that you support your local and national charities as much as possible in this difficult time. Lots of them will be hit financially though the cancellation of events and other such fundraisers. They need us more than ever and we need them!

'Adoption UK is the leading charity providing support, community and advocacy for all those parenting or supporting children who cannot live with their birth parents. We connect adoptive families, provide information and signposting on a range of adoption-related issues and campaign for improvements to adoption policy and legislation at the highest levels.

With over 8,000 members, we provide a strong, supportive community and are the largest voice of adopters in the UK. As a charity, we rely on their generosity of our members and supporters. We urgently want to raise more funds to ensure our services are here for families, whenever they need them.'
