I never posted this.
I’d reached a point where I realised I couldn’t keep living as though every day depended on whether I found a job.
For months, I’d been searching.
Applying.
Interviewing.
Waiting.
Repeating.
It had taken more out of me than I realised.
So one morning, I decided to try something different.
I started saying this affirmation:
“Everything that’s happening is guiding me closer to what’s meant for me, and I’m open to evidence that I’m supported and guided.”
I probably only said it for about a week before I was offered a job.
Was it because of the affirmation?
Honestly… I don’t know.
But I don’t think that’s really the point.
The affirmation didn’t magically change my circumstances overnight.
It changed where I was placing my attention.
Instead of spending every waking moment looking for evidence that nothing was happening, I slowly started looking for evidence that life was still moving.
That I could still go for a walk.
Meet a friend.
Watch a sunrise.
Write.
Laugh.
Live.
Even while I was waiting.
I’d stopped trying to push every door open.
Not because I’d given up.
Because I finally understood there was still a life to be lived while I waited for the right one to open.
Months later, that simple phrase found its way into Fire Moon Rising.
It became part of the Woman’s story.
Funny how life does that.
Sometimes we don’t write the story.
We live it first.
