Tennis4Toddlers Tennis coaching for toddlers 3-5 years. Tennis4Toddlers is a fun and ideal introduction to tennis for young children.

The T4T method teaches tennis skills and first strokes in a relaxed and fun creating environment with activities and games which develop the key emotional, social and physical skills. Creator of T4T is top LTA coach Paul Barton who has twenty five years of international coaching experience and an endless passion for tennis and coaching. ital foundation tennis skills like throwing, catching, ball sense and even strokes. Parents play a big role too in the T4T program and are able to participate in parts of the sessions and play an active role in their child’s development, it is nice also for parent’s to develop this supporting role early on with their child. We actually run specific sessions at weekends which are parent and toddler sessions and we understand that dropping off the toddlers is the only option so all midweek sessions are drop off. As children improve they are gradually progressed to the next level which is Mini Tennis. Children vary in abilities and we are happy to move children up to the Mini Tennis once they have reached T4T skill level 3 and if they are also displaying a good attention skills, this will usually happen when a child is 4 and a half years, although children can be moved earlier or later. Children’s abilities are monitored on an ongoing basis and they receive certificates at T4T stages 1, 2 and 3. There is no testing or pressure on the children at any time and on completion of a course certificates are given with the appropriate level to match that child’s ability, the children are not made aware of their class mates levels. It is a pleasure to teach this age group and see the children developing over the weeks, one can see the improvement in listening ability, confidence and concentration as they proceed. It is also very rewarding to see their personalities build over the weeks as they start to learn and master some basic skills and strokes. The T4T method with it’s fun and innovative ways to teach little ones usually delights the parents who are usually pleasantly surprised at what their loved ones can achieve.

Just to remind you that our weekly Saturday session, at 2-4pm is open to intermediate level players and above, there will be a drills court and a playing court, so no waiting off, everyone will mix around and get some drills and some doubles play!
