No class? No problem 😅 Here’s a little toe lift + toe spread challenge from class for you to practise at home while we’re away 👣✨ Amazing for foot strength, balance and waking up all those tiny stabilising muscles we often forget about!✨

Please note the following timetable changes:

If your shoulders always feel tight… this might be why 👀

In class at the Sydenham Centre a few weeks ago, we were working on shoulder protraction + retraction — fancy words for learning how your shoulder blades move around your ribcage ✨

It might look simple, but understanding these movements can really help with:
✔️ posture
✔️ shoulder tension
✔️ upper body strength
✔️ improving control and stability

At Present Pilates, we love breaking movements down so they actually make sense 😅 Because when you understand how your body moves, everything starts to feel a little easier.

And if sore shoulders are something you really struggle with, Helen also offers 1:1 sessions in her home studio for more personalised support

If your feet are weak, the rest of you feels it…

We don’t talk about feet enough in Pilates 😅
But they’re your foundation.

As we get older, foot strength and balance awareness can decline — which can affect stability, confidence and how steady you feel day to day.

And after years of wearing supportive shoes?
Those small stabilising muscles in the feet often get a little lazy 👟😅

The good news?
You can work on it.

Stronger feet = a stronger foundation
And when your foundation feels better… everything above it benefits too ✨
