☀️ After a few days writing by the sea and get my tooth fixed I’ll be back on the mat with some shiny new classes and some timetable changes

Mondays 7pm Brixton

Tuesdays (June and July) Kids Yoga

Thursdays 5.30pm, 7pm and 8.30pm

Fridays 12.30pm and 4pm HotPod Hackney

Sundays 11.15am and 12.30pm

I’ve also got some lovely cover classes coming up over the summer at Fison Fitness, Embody Wellness, Yogarise and maybe some cheeky park yoga with Brixton Yoga. ❤️

💫 I feel so grateful to have spent so much time this week in gorgeous and welcoming yoga studios as both a student and a teacher. Pics include the awesome Substation in Brixton, the lovely little gem that is Fison Fitness tucked away in Herne Hill, and of course, the wonderful Yoga On The Lane in Dalston. All of these studios have some absolutely great teachers running classes there ❤️

Thank you so much for the most wonderful kids yoga teacher training. It’s been such a joy to spend the last few months with an incredible group of students and teachers learning all about children and the ways yoga can benefit them especially in this increasingly chaotic world we live in. I wish that I had been introduced to yoga as a child, and it feels like a real gift to be given the tools and resources to bring yoga to more young people. ❤️

🎙️ One of my favourite things to do (especially as the weather gets better) is to take myself off for a walk around the park and listen to a podcast. Here is a list of a few of my favourite yoga, philosophy and well-being podcasts. Each one is truly special and I hope they will bring you as much insight as they have brought me…

1. The Mark Groves Podcast- a truly fascinating podcast on relationships brought to you by a human connection specialist.

3. Where’s My Mind- I love this podcast and how diverse the episodes are. My favorite was the interview with The Good Place creator, Micheal Schur on exploring existential ideas through sitcom comedy.

3. The Daily Stoic, these bitesize episodes are a great way to start your day!

4. The Happy Place- I think Ferne Cotton is a brilliant host and interviewer who chats so openly with all of her guests. My fave was definitely Minnie Driver who has the most amazing outlook on life.

5. Untangle- another great podcast on understanding the human mind.

6. Let’s Talk Yoga- a great resource for teachers or people looking to learn more about their practice

Back in Feb I thought it might be a fun challenge to host a radio show for where I play some of my fave chilled tracks and chat about some of the mindfulness practices that have helped my anxious brain. The next episode will be out on Monday 17th April at 3pm ❤️

🤒 For all my freelance pals out there, please please take the sick day when you aren’t well.

I know how hard it is to take time off when you are self employed. Money is lost, we worry we let people down, and maybe we even go into a bit of a guilt spiral. Let all of those feelings exist but take the time you need to get better. This is a memo to myself as much as to anyone else. Your body is precious and your health is vital. As they say, if you don’t take rest, your body will make you rest. ❤️

“If your choices are beautiful, so too will you be”- Epictetus

I’ve heard this twice this year already, once on a New Year’s day workshop that I dragged myself to and once on The Daily Stoic podcast. I’m in love with it, and have been reciting it back to myself every day. Making beautiful choices for ourselves is such a wonderful philosophy for life, especially if you veer towards anxiety like I do. A beautiful choice could be to read before bed instead of watching tv, going for a crisp morning walk before work, or simple taking a moment for gratitude for something that makes you happy in the moment. Think beautiful, do beautiful and you will be beautiful (oh and you already are ❤️)
