Did you know that sleep is just as important for your fitness journey as your workouts and nutrition? 💤😴

Getting enough shut-eye is crucial for both physical and mental health, and here's why:

👉 Chronic sleep deprivation can lead to disorders like depression or anxiety and depression 🧠

Not getting enough sleep can leave you feeling irritable, moody, and unable to focus, which can make it harder for you to stick to your fitness goals.

👉 Sleep is also important for muscle growth and recovery 💪

When you sleep, your body repairs and rebuilds your muscles, making them stronger and more resilient for your next workout. So if you want to see gains in the gym, make sure you're getting enough rest.

👉 Sleeping less than 5 hours per night increases your risk of developing diabetes 🍬

This is because sleep deprivation can lead to insulin resistance, which can make it more difficult for your body to regulate blood sugar levels.

👉 People who get less than 7 hours of sleep a night are 30% more likely to be obese 😔

This is because sleep deprivation can mess with your metabolism and hormones, making it more difficult to lose weight.

So how much sleep should you be getting?

Experts recommend 7-9 hours per night for adults,

although this can vary depending on your individual needs.

DON'T:

- Beat yourself up and dwell on the past 😞

A positive mindset can lead to increased motivation, determination and ultimately success🏆

Remember to focus on the present moment,
set small achievable goals,
and be kind to yourself during your fitness journey!

Here are our 5 top tips to create a positive mindset in the gym:

🐜 Start small: Taking it slow will help you maintain your motivation

👫 Find a workout buddy: Having someone to rely on to stay on track and also make your gym experience more enjoyable can be extremely beneficial for a beginner

📝 Create a routine: Plan your workouts ahead to save time and avoid feelings of uncomfortableness

Consistency is 🔑 to reaching your fitness goals💪

Consistency is the foundation of all progress!

When it comes to reaching your fitness goals, it's not about perfection, it's about showing up day after day and putting in the work✏️

It's about making fitness a part of your daily routine, whether that's a full-blown workout or just a quick walk around the block🏃🏻

Consistency is what will get you there, slowly but surely✅

Don't let one bad workout discourage you, don't give up when you don't see immediate results.

Trust in the process, trust in your ability to improve, and trust that consistency will lead to progress📈

It's not easy, but nothing worth having ever is.

So, make sure to show up day after day and watch the progress unfold! 📈 💪🏃‍♀️🏋️‍♂️

2022 was an incredible year for the whole team..

But more specifically Mario who has been through a major metamorphosis the past few months

And we couldn't be prouder! 👏

We first started working with Mario in September of 2022

At first, his goals were to get in shape for a holiday he had planned in October

And it's safe to say these were SMASHED in no time at all! 😁

He had previous experience with getting in shape but since the lockdown he struggled getting back to his routine so he reached out for help and accountability.

Mario was able to achieve this by:

✅ Formulating a bespoke training plan that complimented his life and not the other way round

✅ Manipulating his body to recompose through a nutritional protocol that also allowed him to enjoy life and not restrict

✅ Habit coaching that focused on lifelong changes to serve him

But the journey doesn't stop there!

Now Mario is working towards even higher goals of packing on muscle to achieve an even bigger transformation and also focusing on a more long-term optimisation of his lifestyle to help him operate in his day-to-day job as a reflexologist.
