Andy Jacobs said he likes Jamie Carragher, but felt Chelsea beating Liverpool was a case of “football karma.” He criticised Carragher for spending weeks slating Chelsea — saying they’ve won nothing, the Club World Cup doesn’t count, and the squad isn’t good enough. Jacobs thinks Carragher was overly obsessed with putting Chelsea down and that it backfired. He added that it’s wiser to hold off on that kind of talk until your team actually beats the one you’re criticising.
