🎾 Loddon Tennis Club – Friendly Tournament Fun! 🎾

What a fantastic weekend at the club! A big thank you to Rob, our competitions organiser, for putting together a brilliant friendly tournament themed Sinner vs Alcaraz 👏

We had 12 players battling it out on court, with some great rallies, competitive spirit, and plenty of laughs along the way. After some closely fought matches, it was Team Sinner who came out on top, taking home the (very creative!) tennis ball trophies 🏆🎾

Even better… the rain stayed away for us! ☀️

We rounded off the day perfectly with a few well-earned drinks at The Angel 🍻

A great time was had by all – we’re already looking forward to the next one!

Well done to Loddon Tennis Club Ladies

Pat has counted up the takings and I’m excited to say we raised an incredible £789! 🎉

Not only does that take us past our £2,500 target, it smashes us through the £3,000 mark for the Loddon Tennis Ladies fundraising.

Even better, this amount will be matched by South Norfolk Council and Sport England grants, meaning the club will have raised over £6,000 towards resurfacing the courts in just 3 months.

This keeps us firmly on track for a September/October court resurfacing. An amazing effort from everyone involved! A huge thank you to everyone who donated, supported the event, and helped make it happen. 💪

🎉 Thank You, Loddon & Chedgrave! 🎉

What an incredible night at the Loddon Tennis Club Quiz Night!

We welcomed over 80 attendees and are absolutely thrilled to share that we raised just over £800 towards our court resurfacing project 👏🎾

A huge thank you to all the fantastic local businesses who donated prizes for our raffle — your generosity truly made a difference and brought us one step closer to making our resurfacing plans a reality.

Special thanks to Rik for running such a brilliant evening, and to James L for connecting with local businesses and helping secure the amazing raffle prizes. Your efforts don’t go unnoticed 🙌

We really are lucky to have such a wonderful and generous community in Loddon and Chedgrave — the support was incredible.

Don’t forget, we have a jam-packed weekly tennis schedule with sessions for all ages and abilities. A big thank you to our Tennis Coach Ross and Mark at Heads Up Tennis for helping run our programme, and to Beth for continuing to grow our fantastic pickleball and indoor softball sessions.

🎾 2026 is shaping up to be a great year for tennis in our community!
