Now the ice has all gone the ice hall is available for hire for events of all types, including dog shows ! If you are looking for a large fully accessible space with plenty of car parking and cafe and bar on site look no further. To book or for more information email [email protected]

Year one secondary school children from Lockerbie Academy have attended Lockerbie ice rink for curling coaching sessions as part of the school physical education curriculum over the Winter months. Each class attended on four occasions, making sixteen sessions in total. The reason for this initiative was to provide a pathway for primary school children to continue curling following attendance the previous year at the curling cool coaching sessions. The coaching was provided by coaches from the Lockerbie curling school based at the ice rink assisted by the teachers. Lockerbie academy and Lockerbie ice rink would like to thank Scottish curling, Lockerbie community council and Annandale & Eskdale area committee sports grants for providing funding for these sessions. The four groups are pictured at the end of their sessions, please note it is only the pupils that the school received consent for that are included in the photographs. Hopefully, if funding is available this initiative will continue for the year one secondary school children in 2026-27.
