A colleague at work asked about losing weight.

She had signed up for a 8 week fat loss course which gave her a generic meal plan which was the same for the whole group and an extra couple of fitness classes … yes, she might get some results but how will she know? They didn’t take measurements, she doesn’t know how many calories she should be aiming for or size of portions.

Want to make a change but don’t know where to start? 👇

If you don’t know your current situation, how will you know if the changes you make are actually going to make a difference?

It’s worthwhile to spend a week getting to know your current situation.

Find out how many calories you consume each day.
Find out how much protein you get each day.
Find out how many steps you do each day.
Find out how much water you drink each day.
We then look at this over a week, because not every day is the same and that’s normal.

A full week is great because it includes work days which are generally more routine and the weekend, which can be a bit more “relaxed”.

It’s not easy being honest, but the more honest you are with yourself and your PT, the better the results.
