After a long winter, today 9 of us came up and assessed the boat. It was great to have Scottish Veterans Residences (SVR) residents and a staff member and and new volunteer with an engineering back ground. We went out on 2 boats from Loch Goil Cruisers and then visited Operation not a submarine for an inspection and a discussion on short and long term needs.

We even caught Mackerel!! But Claire gave them names and they went back in ;-)

Piece of cake!

This boat used to be a rented day boat on Loch Goil. Since then it's had 4 or 5 owners who found it too much of a project. That's where veterans come in. I started Fares4Free over 6 years ago and now I want to use this private project to give some friends I've met along the way a project. Within a year we want to turn this fibre glass hull into a functioning boat again.

It needs cleaned, patched, an engine, shaft, prop. It needs everything.
