Happy New Year! And let’s start 2026 and our 10th Anniversary off by saying a big hello to Craobh Marina who will be our hosts for the start of the Autism on the Water Regatta where our passage race will start to take us down to Crinan.

Sheila and the team at Craobh who have just taken ownership of the marina have been beyond welcoming and supportive for our event and we look forward to welcoming the fleet to this iconic and beautiful marina for the start of our regatta on the 10-11 July.

Don’t forget that entry for the event is open and we would encourage those who don’t race to come and join in for a great weekend for a good cause!

📣 **Important Announcement: Round Shuna Pursuit Race Cancellation**

With great regret, we must announce the cancellation of this year’s **Round Shuna Pursuit Race (Sunday 31st August)** and the **Feeder Race from Ardfern (Saturday 30th August)**.

Unfortunately, several key members of the organising team are now unable to attend, and we’ve had to reluctantly make this decision to cancel these races. .

⛵ The Good news: The Oban to Craobh Haven Feeder Race on Saturday 30th will still go ahead, under the flag of Oban Sailing Club. For details please visit www.obansailingclub.org/events/and contact Craobh Haven Marina directly regarding berthing.

📬 At time of writing we currently have only 6 entrants, though we know many sign up on the day. All paid entrants will be reimbursed—please contact the club office with your banking details.

💙 The Round Shuna weekend has long been a cherished way to close the sailing season on the west coast. Its relaxed spirit and tactical challenge have made it a favourite for both newcomers and seasoned sailors. While we’re disappointed to cancel this year, we’re already looking ahead to 2026, when the event will be part of our 150th Anniversary celebrations—likely on 29th/30th August. Please mark your calendars!

Do you know a 12 to 15-year-old who would love to try sailing? This is their chance! ⛵

Join Ocean Youth Trust Scotland for an introductory sailing weekend from 9th - 11th May 2025, departing from James Watt Dock, Greenock, on Friday evening.

This weekend is a great opportunity for young people to give sailing a try, without having to commit to a full 5 or 7-day voyage.

No experience is needed, as full training will be provided by our experienced sea staff and volunteers in a fun and supportive environment. Food and all equipment, including waterproofs and lifejackets, will be provided.

Cost: £120 per person
