After a disappointing collapse last time out away to Caersws where we let a 2-goal lead slip away after 2 sendings off, eventually losing 3-2, we hope to bounce back at home this afternoon.

FOUR CROSSES FC RESERVES - 6

We were finally able to play some football after a couple of weeks of postponements due to lack of match officials.

Following recent poor results in both the league and the cup, a return to football saw a return to form for the lads where we finally ended our poor away run in a 6-2 victory away to Llandrindod Wells on Tuesday night under the lights.

Forwards Luke Jones and Byron Edwards once again featured on the score sheet, joined by youngsters Max Thomas, Aled Benbow and Rhys Owen, all scoring their first goals for the club.

A fantastic performance all round from the Ressies made the mid-week trip worthwhile.

We don't play again until the 23rd October where we travel to Caersws for a 2:30pm KO (if we can get a ref!).

BERRIEW RESERVES - 1

A brace from forward Byron Edwards was enough to see Crosses through to their 3rd consecutive win of the season against Berriew Reserves on Saturday.

New signing goalkeeper Sam Hilditch saw a rash challenge punished with a penalty and yellow card on the half hour mark, and Berriew went ahead. On the stroke of half time, Crosses finally pulled one back after many chances and later added to his first to seal the victory. A top performance from the Berriew keeper kept them in the tie until the end.

Next up, we travel to Aberystwyth where we face Penparcau FC Reserves at Min-Y-Ddol on Sunday 12th September, 2:30pm KO.

FOUR CROSSES FC RESERVES - 1
BOW STREET FC RESERVES - 0

Centre half Owen Aspinall scored the only goal in a 1-0 victory against Bow Street Reserves at Foxen Manor on Saturday.

Crosses rode their luck at times but held on despite Bow Street piling on the pressure late on in what proved to be an even contest overall, with spells of possession and chances for both sides.
This was a positive sight after so many changes to the lineup which saw new signings Max Thomas and David Harris make their competitive debuts for the club alongside Dan Pritchard (yes, he's back) who returns to don the Crosses jersey once more after a spell of absence in the pub, all putting in an impressive performance.

This week we are once again at home, taking on Berriew Reserves on Thursday evening at The Manor for a 6:30pm KO.
