🎣 Llyn Clywedog Report – 18th June 2026 🎣

I think it’s officially ok to say this week has been a fantastic week 😎 A very good Beetle hatch and a very reasonable week weather-wise has made dry fly the top method, with various patterns such as Beetles, Daddies and Midas all featuring well in daily reports from anglers. 🪰

The trickiest part of the week has been trying to predict the best areas, as the wind direction has changed most days 🌬️. But the supply of food in the water has been steady – you just need to find an upwind shore and it seems the fish are there! 🎣

Today the Chapel Bank has been very busy, with boats from the sign on the Yacht Club right through the Larches all the way to Chapel Point producing fish. 🚤

Bwlch y Gle has also been very consistent due to the Beetle hatch 🪲, but almost the entire lake has produced good sport on different days throughout the week.

🎣 Llyn Clywedog Fishing Report – 12th June 2026 🎣

Weekly Stocking: 1,500 trout 🐟
Season-to-Date Stocking: 20,250 trout 🐟

Llyn Clywedog has fished extremely well over the past week despite the unseasonably windy weather 🌬️.

Unfortunately, there is little to report regarding Coch-y-Bonddu beetles on the water. Although there have been a few sightings, we simply haven’t had the warmth or settled dry weather needed to bring sufficient numbers onto the lake. As a result, pulling flies has generally been the most productive method, apart from the occasional day when conditions have allowed anglers to fish dries successfully 🎣.

Fortunately, the forecast looks much more promising from this weekend onwards, with improving weather conditions expected ☀️.
