Last Saturday brought an end to the 2026 season - a season of drama and success on and off the pitch!

The 1st XI finished in an excellent 4th place in Division One. It was a fantastic division to be a part of. The standard was excellent and every team was capable of beating each other as it showed!

The seconds finished 7th in a highly competitive division 4 and the 3rd XI were 7th in Division 8.

Our Ladies finished 3rd place in Division 2.

On Monday night we said our goodbyes to Dylan De Villiers who now goes back to South Africa ready for his season in Pretoria. Dylan has made a massive impact at the club both on and off the field, and the good news is he will be coming back next season! 😀🙌🏻

A group of 43 of us went to The Bridge, Llangennech for an end of season meal and to wish Dylan well.

We wish to thank our players, members, parents and our sponsors for an incredible year. Our club has never been in such a good position!

Well done to Jac Poole and Rhys McAuley, who both represented the SWJCL U17s against the Wales Over 50s at Gorseinon CC.

A brilliant experience for both boys and a great achievement to be selected to play at this level. 👏🏏

1st XI round up
On the penultimate weekend of the season the 1st XI secured a fantastic win at 2nd place Skewen winning by 5 wickets. A disciplined bowling performance kept Skewen to 204 all out. James Taube led the way with 4 wickets at the end where a score of 240+ for Skewen was on the cards.

Having lost 2 early wickets Dylan de Villiers went about his business again smashing 95 from 73 balls. He was ably supported by James Taube 23.

At 168-5 and to keep Skewen from picking up any more bonus points Matthew Jones 30 not out and Jonny Taube 14 not out sensibly played their way to our victory and a crucial 20 points.

2nd XI
Our seconds claimed a vital win at home against Llanwrda to put us comfortably in 7th place. Llan scored 255/6 with Jac Poole 63, Richard Clement 40, Jack Page 37, Theo Barnes Watson 33* and Euros Jones 30* all contributing to the total.

In reply, wickets were hard to come by, but we restricted Llanwrda to 213/3 from 45 overs.

Next week is the last game of the season and what a weekend we have in store! A win against Bronwydd, and Skewen losing to Dafen would mean we could finish in 2nd place and get promoted to the South Wales Premier League 2 for the first time in our history. We hope for a big crowd to come and support us!

Last night the ladies enjoyed a training softball game with the U14s girls. Teams were mixed otherwise it would have been far too competitive for a chilled Friday night! Cricket was the winner with a close game and only 10 runs in it at the end. Good performances on both teams and everyone kept in line by umpires Tim and Dafydd. Between pictures 1 and 2 bet you can tell who collected the boundary markers 🏏
