Looking for something that builds more than just fitness?
AJ Judo Club welcomes new members aged 5+ to our friendly, supportive club in both Ford.
Our sessions welcome all ages and abilities, with members ranging from young beginners right through to experienced adult judoka.

Through judo, members develop:
✅ Confidence
✅ Discipline & focus
✅ Fitness & coordination
✅ Respect & resilience
✅ Friendships & teamwork

Most importantly, we create a welcoming environment where everyone is encouraged, supported, and made to feel part of the club from day one — whether completely new to judo or returning to sport.

⏰ Juniors: 6:15pm – 7:15pm
⏰ Youth & Seniors: 7:15pm – 8:30pm

Just a reminder that Judo starts back tomorrow, Wednesday 2nd September at Ford village Hall . We’re really looking forward to seeing everyone back on the mats.

Hi all
*****. Important Notice ****
Due to the extreme weather warning from 9am wed to 9pm Thursday we have taken the decision to cancel the club tomorrow for juniors and seniors.

as it is always very hot in the village hall normally so with this in mind and the extreme weather there will be no club tomorrow. It is important that we put everyone’s health and safety first.

Sorry for any inconvenience and we look forward to seeing you next week and look after yourselves in this hot weather. Or if you are at the training day we will c u then

What a fantastic day at the No-Gi Judo event held at the Sport Wales National Centre, Cardiff, on 31st May 2026!

A huge thank you to Alan Jones of AJ Judo for organising this event. It was a brilliant event with a great atmosphere, providing all judoka’s the opportunity to take part in some high-paced, competitive matches while also catching up with old and new friends from across the judo community.

We are especially proud of Nik Curson who represented the club with pride and came away with both a Gold and a Bronze medal, making the day even more rewarding.

The standard of competition was excellent, and it was inspiring to see so much enthusiasm and support from everyone involved.

This event has tremendous potential and is undoubtedly something that can continue to grow and become a major fixture on the judo calendar. Keep an eye out for the next event.

Congratulations to all the organisers, officials, coaches and competitors who helped make the day such a success.
