If you want to keep up your yoga practice in this warm weather, why not join me for Wednesday morning’s Yin/Yang class, combined with a cooling breath work session?

A Yin/Yang class can be particularly enjoyable because:

* The warm environment may help you move more comfortably during the Yang portion.
* The Yin section provides a cooling, grounding counterbalance.
* You get the energizing effects of movement without spending the entire class in a high-intensity practice.

A few mat spaces available.

☀️ At the Summer Solstice, nature reminds us to slow down and appreciate the light, warmth and abundance around us.

Whether through yoga, meditation, a mindful walk or simply sitting quietly outdoors, this is a beautiful time to reconnect with ourselves and the natural world.

Take a moment to breathe deeply, feel the sun on your skin, and embrace the energy of the season. Small moments of mindfulness can bring clarity, balance and a renewed sense of gratitude.

Wishing everyone a peaceful and joyful Solstice season. 🌿✨

In our view, following the Groom vs Maritime and Coastguard Agency case, the Government needs to recognise the essential role volunteers play in the emergency service sector by introducing legislation allowing organisations to remunerate emergency volunteers whilst preserving its volunteer status.

🧘🏻 How to do it:
1️⃣ Inhale through your nose for 4 seconds
2️⃣ Hold your breath for 4 seconds
3️⃣ Exhale slowly for 4 seconds
4️⃣ Hold for 4 seconds
🔁 Repeat for 1–5 minutes

✨ Friday Reminder ✨

The weekend is almost here, but before you rush into plans, errands or catching up on everything you’ve put off all week, take a moment to pause and breathe.

Give yourself permission to slow down, reconnect and create space for what matters most. Why not try -

4-4 Equal Breathing (Sama Vritti): A Simple Way to Reset Your Mind

Feeling stressed, overwhelmed, or distracted? Try 4-4 Equal Breathing, also known as Sama Vritti, a simple breathing technique that uses equal-length inhales and exhales to promote calm and focus.

🧘🏻 Benefits
• Helps calm the nervous system
• Reduces stress and anxiety
• Improves focus and mental clarity
• Encourages slow, steady breathing
• Promotes relaxation and emotional balance

🧘🏻 How to Do It

1. Breathe in through your nose for 4 seconds.
2. Breathe out through your nose or mouth for 4 seconds.
3. Continue for 1–5 minutes, maintaining a smooth, comfortable rhythm.

🧘🏻 Use it before a meeting, during a stressful moment, before sleep, or anytime you need a quick mental reset.

A few minutes of intentional breathing can help bring more calm, clarity, and balance to your day.
