Stradey Heritage A monumental park where once stood the gates to the world famous, Stradey Park Home of the 'Scarlets’ Llanelli RFC 'Scarlets' Heritage Trail. That is the theme.

The Heritage Trail starts on the Penbryn roundabout at Llanelli link road. The old Town end Stradey posts that bore witness to all the historic games, including the Roy Bergiers try against the All Blacks in the famous victory in 1972 are situated on the roundabout in view of people arriving and people leaving and is a permanent memory of the old ground. ated in Sandy water park overlooking the old ground. Included on site is a life size figure of the Great Phil Bennett side stepping Richie McCaw the NZ Captain. Behind the post is a plaque in the shape of the the Referee's whistle. Did Phil beat Richie McCaw ? Did the Referee give a try ? The Heritage park on the site of the Taylor Wimpey Development. There is a dedicated park with a section replicating a rugby ball on the floor, with four seats dotted around. Each seat has a different motive. Seat 1: Approximately 5,000 players have worn the Scarlet jersey. Seat 2: The Three Feathers Of Wales. Seat 3: 24 British Lions. Seat 4: Terry Davies, Doug Williams Old Players Association. Dedicated Memorial Stone - Gifted by Phil Bowen Pennant Quarry. The Blue Pennant Stone is 7ft high, 3ft wide and weighs approx 2 ton. It has an insert of Captain Delme Thomas being raised on the fans shoulders after defeating the All Blacks in 1972. The project has been undertaken by the Old Players Association, under the heading,
