Safe to say the boys enjoyed it, got a little sweat on and made ways to gain the edge for the new season.

Guess this lot got the memo early... 👀💪

New research tracking more than 147,000 people over 30 years found that just 90 minutes to 2 hours of strength training per week was linked to:

💪 13% lower risk of death from any cause
❤️ 19% lower risk of death from cardiovascular disease
🧠 27% lower risk of death from neurological disease

The best part?

You don't need to live in the gym.

Just a couple of well-structured strength sessions a week could make a real difference to your long-term health.

I’m not training for a “look”

I’m training so my body doesn’t fail me later.

To carry my own shopping.

To get off the floor.

Keep up with my kids.

Travel.

Lift heavy things.

Stay independent.

Feel capable in my own skin.

I’m not chasing skinny.

I’m chasing strength, mobility, balance, energy, and a body that still works well years from now.

Fitness isn’t about punishment or aesthetics. It’s about building a body that supports my life instead of limiting it.

So no, I’m not training for abs.

I’m training for my old lady years.

And honestly? That feels far more powerful.
