💎 DIAMOND WEIGHTLIFTING UPDATE 💎

Sorry we’ve been so quiet on social media — it’s been a busy couple of months behind the scenes! With loads going on at the club and so many new faces joining, things have been non-stop… in the best way 💪

We’re incredibly proud to share that three of our lifters — Izzy, Charlie and Naomi — have been selected for the Welsh Development Squad 👏
And this weekend, Izzy and Charlie headed off to the Welsh Development Camp, representing Diamond — we couldn’t be prouder of their hard work and dedication 💎

A huge, huge thank you as well to Weightlifting House for sending out an amazing bundle of goodies for our lifters to train with — the support means so much to us 🖤

This Saturday, we’ve got a group of lifters travelling down to South Wales for their first competition of the year — make sure to keep an eye out for updates on how they get on! 🏋️‍♀️

What a day! Every single lifter stepped onto that platform and absolutely smashed it. From gritty first attempts to huge PBs, the energy was unreal and the team spirit was even better. So proud of every Diamond athlete who showed up, lifted big, and supported each other all the way. 💙✨

DIAMOND WEIGHTLIFTING ON ITV NEWS, DAILY POST & S4C! ✨

What a surreal week it’s been for Diamond Weightlifting. From being featured LIVE on ITV News, to landing a spot in the Daily Post, and even sitting down for an interview with S4C last week — this has honestly been one of the biggest milestones in our journey so far. 🏋️‍♂️💎📺

None of this would have been possible without the incredible young athletes who show up, work hard, support each other, and make this club what it is. You are the heart of Diamond Weightlifting. Every PB, every laugh, every challenge, every comeback — you are the reason we’ve made it to this stage. We’re so proud of everything you do on and off the platform. 💙

Today we took a group of our lifters over to Number One Flintshire for a brilliant day of lifting 🙌

A huge thank you to the hosts for putting on such a great event — it was a day full of fun, experience and great energy 💪

It was fantastic to see some of our youngest lifters step onto the platform for the first time and get a taste of competition life 🏋️‍♀️🏋️‍♂️

We’re so proud of everyone who took part — every lift, every smile, every bit of confidence gained 👏

💎✨ Competition Spotlight – Izzy ✨💎

Stepping onto the platform in the U15 69kg+ category, Izzy delivered a fantastic performance at the British Weightlifting Championships 🙌.

She went 4/6 lifts with:

⚡ Clean & Jerk: 78kg
⚡ Total: 141kg

Her hard work and determination earned her a bronze medal 🥉 – an incredible result on the national stage! 💪

We are so proud of Izzy and the progress she’s making – the best is yet to come ⭐.

🔥💎 Competition Spotlight – Charlie 💎🔥

A huge congratulations to Charlie, who competed in the U15 56kg category at the British Weightlifting Championships this weekend 👏.

Charlie has been training at Diamond for the past 6 years and I think the title of British Champion shows just how much he has progressed over the many years.

Charlie went an incredible 6/6 on the platform ✅✅✅✅✅✅ with:
⚡ Sn**ch: 56kg
⚡ Clean & Jerk: 66kg
⚡ Total: 122kg

That performance.. secured 1st place - Gold🥇 – an amazing achievement at such a young age! We couldn’t be prouder of the hard work, discipline and dedication that went into this.

This is only the beginning – the future is bright ⭐.

This weekend we travelled to Birmingham with 4 Diamond lifters competing at the British Weightlifting Championships 🏋️‍♀️🏋️‍♂️.

We are so proud of every single one of them – just qualifying and stepping onto that stage is a huge achievement 👏.

Stay tuned for posts on how each of our lifters got on – their hard work and dedication deserves to be celebrated 🙌.
