So..... Decision time. I entered the ballot thinking I should maybe put my money where my mouth is setting up this business and Patagonia is high on my bucket list. Never in a million years did I expect to get a spot in the ballot with only 300 available. From short distance Alpe D'Huez tri... To this....
Any thoughts welcome! 6 days to decide, 9 months to train. Looks like I may be training with you if you come on my Elite training experience.

Great little summary of evidence from stating strength training reduced sports injuries to less than 1/3 and almost halved overuse injuries. Backed up with a video example of a functional full body lift (power clean).Technique is fundimental as with everything, but strengthening for any endurance athlete has to be an essential component of your training. DO NOT NEGLECT IT!

TOP TIP THURSDAY
The clam.... Super effective for strengthening and activation of hip stabilisers, but SO often done wrong and does more harm than good. Ensure feet, bum and back are level. TOP HIP BONE HAS TO POINT DOWN TOWARDS FLOOR, NOT UP. When done correctly should feel 'the burn' in gluteus medius (back trouser pocket) without resistance. When the hip is pointing down this muscle does the work, when neutral or up the front hip muscles (tensor fascia lata) will take over and this muscle is already classically overactive in someone with weak gluteus. Often beneficial as part of low back pain and anterior knee pain management.

Dynamic thoracic rotational mobility in lunge position. Increasing thoracic and hip mobility will offload your lumbar spine and can be beneficial for lower back pain. Increasing thoracic mobility also improves shoulder range and movement quality, therefore facilitating effective recruitment of shoulder muscles to improve swimming performance. Great multifaceted warm up exercise. Thoracic and lumbar mobility with control of spinal segmental movement through range. Hip extension and rotation activation with pelvic control and encouraging quality motor patterning. If new to the exercise try without resistance and build up. Perfect pre pool, bike or run.
