🌟A Special Visitor at Back to Roots Gymnastics Club! 🌟

Last night, we were delighted to welcome a very special guest to Back to Roots Gymnastics Club..Fflic, the official Welsh Gymnastics Mascot!! 🤸🏼⛰️

Fflic flew all the way from the peaks of Eryri and brought plenty of energy, smiles and mountain magic with him.

Our gymnasts gave Fflic and his helper a warm welcome and proudly demonstrated some of their gymnastics shapes, including star, tuck, pike and dish.

A huge thank you to Fflic for taking the time to visit us. We loved having you at the club and hope to see you again soon!! 💛🙌🏼

🌟 What a day for Back to Roots Gymnastics Club! 🌟

Today, we had FOURTEEN of our incredible gymnasts taking part at the GymTastic event at Ebbw Vale Sports Centre hosted by Welsh Gymnastics — and I couldn't be more proud of every single one of them!

They took on five routines: vault, floor, bench, bar, and trampoline — and they absolutely rose to the challenge. It was a big, intimidating space, but our gymnasts walked in, held their heads high, and showed up in the most brilliant way. 🤸‍♀️🤸‍♂️

The courage each of you showed today was something really special to witness. You should all be incredibly proud of yourselves — I certainly am!

A huge thank you to Welsh Gymnastics for hosting such a wonderful event. 🏅💛

🌟 NEW Preschool Gymnastics Class – Starting 7th February! 🌟

I’m excited to announce the launch of a Preschool Gymnastics class at the Movement Recreational Centre, Llandrindod Wells 🤸‍♀️🤸‍♂️

🗓 Saturdays
⏰ 12:30 – 1:15pm
📍 Movement Recreational Centre, Llandrindod Wells
📆 8-week block
💷 £60 per child (per block)
👶 Ages: Walking – 3 1/2 years
👨‍👩‍👧 Parent/caregiver accompanied
⚠️ Spaces are limited

These fun, play-based sessions are designed to support young children in developing physical literacy and fundamental movement patterns in a safe and supportive environment.

Each class will include:
🎶 Movement through songs and rhymes
🎲 Games that encourage coordination, balance and confidence
🧸 Use of hand apparatus such as hoops, scarves, ribbons and balls
🧗‍♀️ Exploration of large apparatus including wedges, blocks, beams, benches and bars

We’re excited to kick off a brand-new block of gymnastics classes this evening at the MRC, Oxford Road, Llandrindod Wells!

🗓 Block Dates:
Start: Wednesday, 26th November 2025
End: Wednesday, 28th January 2026
🎄 Christmas Break: No classes on 24th & 31st December. Classes resume on Wednesday, 7th January 2026.

⏰ Class Times:
✨ Rising Stars (Ages 5–6): 5:00–5:45 PM
✨ All Stars (Ages 5–7): 6:00–6:45 PM
✨ Invincibles (Ages 7.5–10): 7:00–7:45 PM

📘 Prepare for Class
To ensure your gymnast is ready, here’s our class rhyme:

"If your hair touches your shoulders, it should be tied back.
No earrings or jewellery, and that's a fact.
We tuck our t-shirts in and jumpers off please.
And we always wear shorts so we can see our knees."

💦 Don’t forget a water bottle!
⏳ Please arrive 10 minutes early for a prompt start.
