Last Saturday saw LLanwrda CC travel away to Llangennech for their final away game of the season.
The home team won the toss and elected to bat first, where they ended up after 45 overs on 255 for 6. In reply LLanwrda lost an early wicket, which was followed by a stand of 68 between David Cu***ng and Adrian Davies. When David was out for 22 , LLanwrda lost another quick wicket, which brought Owen Davies in to bat.
What followed was a partnership of 145 between Adrian and Owen. Although overcoming the Llangennech total wasn’t managed the boys ended up on 213 for 3, with Owen ending up on 68 not out and Adrian ending up on 109 not out.
The season has been a difficult one for the team so why not come down to the Castle fields at 1 pm on Saturday and support LlanwrdaCC in their last game of the season v Neath.

A week ago today our captain Steff tied the knot, and we couldn’t be happier for him and Cerys. It’s a wonderful moment for their family, and we wish Steff, Cerys, and Alys a future filled with happiness, love, and plenty of great memories together. Llongyfarchiadau 🥂

The start of the season has been a challenging one for the club. Availability has been a problem, which meant that half the season had gone without a win.

Saturday however brought a brilliant boost with a strong win away from home at Mumbles, who were top of the league. Steffan Roberts led the way with a superb 108 not out, Adrian Davies added an excellent 69 runs sharing a partnership of 170 for the third wicket, and Daf Hughes delivered a standout bowling performance, taking 4 wickets to help secure the result. A huge effort from everyone involved and a reminder of what this team can achieve together.

The team are home on Saturday against Clydach. Come down and show your support 🏏
