Stand tall, Ellie.

The Class House celebrates achievements every single week, but every now and then a journey comes along that deserves a special moment of recognition.

Meet Ellie. In just 11 months, she has transformed herself, losing an incredible 30kg while gaining something even more valuable - strength, confidence and a whole new set of muscles.

She is one of the most humble people you’ll meet. No fuss, no excuses, no need for attention. She simply turns up, works hard and gets the job done. A true team player through and through, always encouraging others and never seeking the spotlight herself.

Ready for action, strong as an ox and an absolute demon on the ergs, Ellie has become a hugely valued and popular member of The Class House community.

We can’t take all the credit for this transformation. The determination, discipline and consistency came from Ellie herself. Results like this are earned through countless good decisions made when nobody is watching. What we are proud of is that The Class House has been able to provide the environment, coaching and community to support that journey and celebrate every milestone along the way.

Ellie, we are so grateful to have you as part of The Class House team. Your hard work, humility and commitment inspire everyone around you, and we couldn’t be prouder of what you’ve achieved.

30 patches. 30 stories. 1 community.

Yesterday marked the end of May and a month-long celebration of 10 years of The Class House.

Over the course of the month, members took on 10 demanding workouts inspired by the journey we’ve been on over the last decade.

Thirty members completed all 10 workouts and earned their Patch of Honour, while many others tackled as many as they could. Some even repeated workouts, not for themselves, but simply to support their friends.

The challenge was never about being the fastest or the strongest. It was about turning up, supporting others, embracing the journey and refusing to stand still.

Ten years on, that spirit is stronger than ever.

Thank you to everyone who took part and helped make The Class House what it is today.

Done for another year! ✔️ it’s fair to say that the CrossFit open workouts hit differently.

It’s not just a normal training session. There’s a judge, a scoresheet, and someone counting every rep, which makes it feel like it matters in a way it usually doesn’t.

You’ve watched the videos, seen others take it on, and tried to convince yourself it won’t be that bad. But it still hangs over you, especially in the hours before class.

Workouts like this expose things. They highlight weaknesses you’d rather avoid and areas you’re unsure of, but they can also reveal the odd strength you didn’t expect.

You tell yourself you’ll pace it and that it’s just a workout, but underneath is that worry about letting yourself down.

However, you show up anyway.
You start, it bites, it’s uncomfortable but you keep going.

When it’s over, there’s a real sense of satisfaction. You’ve built resilience, proved to yourself you can do hard things, and come away with a little more belief than you had before.

It’s that quiet pat on the back in the shower, and another tick off the list of doing hard things that makes all the discomfort worthwhile.

New juniors S&C 6 week block starts this Saturday at 9.30-10.30 am.

Our junior strength and conditioning classes are all about helping kids get stronger, fitter and more confident in themselves. They build strength, agility and coordination while learning how to move well, work hard and enjoy training in a supportive and safe environment.

Do you like cake, camaraderie and cleans?

Come and support Class House members Menna, Beryl and Kirst as they raise funds for the London Landmarks Half Marathon this April with a special Charity Friday Finisher.

🕠 Friday 27th: 5:30pm – usual time

The workout will consist of 14 mini workouts completed in pairs, representing the 14 landmarks along the course route. Expect fun, sweat and plenty of team spirit.

Each of the girls is running for a charity close to their hearts:
• Alzheimer’s
• Breast cancer
• Young Lives vs Cancer

We’ll be charging £5 to take part, which will go directly to the girls’ fundraising totals.

After the workout there’ll be refreshments — beer, gin/fizz and (I’m told) Flo’s cake 👀 — so please bring a few extra pounds if you’d like to stay and enjoy.

I know this is short notice — it wasn’t easy finding a date that worked for everyone… but I’d really love to see the Class House community show up for three members who are Class House through and through.

Bring your partner. Bring your kid. Bring your great aunt.

The numbers are impressive. They show progress, consistency and hard work. But what matters most isn’t just the kilos, it’s what’s happened every single week to make those numbers possible.

It’s the commitment to turning up when you’re tired from work or a busy weekend and showing up with intent every time. It’s the encouragement shouted across the room before a heavy attempt. It’s the shared belief that you can add a little more. It’s the mindset you bring to the bar, positive, focused, courageous.

Strength isn’t built in one session. It’s built rep by rep, week by week, surrounded by people who genuinely want to see you win. That’s what makes this team so very special.

A mention to Ceri, who has added a massive 30kg since the initial test in January. 🖤

The weight on the bar is rising — but even more importantly, so is the standard, the support and the belief in this big tin shed.

We are inviting a small group of individuals to take part in a 6-week beginners’ programme in strength and conditioning....

We are inviting a small group of individuals to take part in a 6-week beginners’ programme in strength and conditioning. This programme is designed to teach core functional movements and key lifting techniques, including the clean and jerk and sn**ch.

The course provides a fast-track into the timetable classes at The Class House, or an opportunity to gain the knowledge and confidence needed to make the most of our open gym facility.

All ages and abilities are welcome.
Sessions will be led by Coach Mered, who brings extensive experience alongside an empathetic, supportive, and highly motivational coaching approach.

A 6-week commitment is required to ensure consistency and meaningful progression.

The cost is £65, which includes gym access during the programme period and a complimentary taster session in our timetable classes.

Every Friday, 1:00–2:00pm.
