So easily done. If you do find yourself in trouble, the best thing you can do is provide a grid reference of your location to the mountain rescue team.

Call Out 23/9/2020

Just after 3.30 yesterday afternoon the team were called by Heddlu Dyfed Powys Police to locate a male walker near Llyn y Fan Fach. The chap had started his walk using google maps on his phone from the Brynamman road and had underestimated the terrain and distances involved.
The team met with him and after checking him over walked him back to the car park at Llyn y Fan for his onward journey to his car.
We recommend that you use a map and compass when walking in the hills, technology is a great but shouldn't be used as primary tool for navigation.

Had a lovely day out on the Pembrokeshire Coast Path a couple of weeks ago. Easy navigation - keep the sea to your right (or left, if you are going South to North!). Fantastic scenery, you won't be disappointed!!

Born this day 1948 in Ystrad Mynach,

Andy Fairweather Low - guitarist, songwriter, producer and vocalist. He was a founding member of the band Amen Corner, which had the 1969 hit ‘(If Paradise Is) Half as Nice’. Later he pursued a solo career gaining success with 'Wide Eyed and Legless'.
