We are a professionally, family based martial arts school based in Llanberis, North Wales. At Burman's Martial Arts Llanberis we strive to meet your personal needs as a student. Shihan Sara Roberts ( 6th Degree black belt) is a natural educator and has served her community for over 30 years, teaching essential skills to adults and children alike. Students from all over Gwynedd, Anglesey and Conwy

come to Llanberis to learn valuable self defence skills and increase physical fitness. Our team, who have decades of experience, lead by example and will strive to give all students of any age a positive outlook on life and the confidence to succeed. We offer Karate, Kickboxing and Krav Maga classes. Children from the age of 4+ are welcome in our little dragons karate class and Junior kickboxing class. Our martial arts classes are a great way to give your child a head start in life. Your child will :- gain self confidence, increase self control, increase focus, make new friends through teamwork, gain a better mental attitude, learn self defence skills, increase listening skills and gain more respect for self and others. As for our adult classes, there are many benefits to training in karate and kickboxing. You will :- learn valuable self defence, increase stamina and fitness, gain confidence and self esteem, make new friends, have a better mental attitude to work and life, have more self control and most of all have a great time. Hierarchy and Roles in the Dojo

🥋 Shihan (師範) – Master Instructor & Leader
The leader and main teacher who guides the dojo with wisdom, experience, and example. A Shihan not only teaches techniques, but also shapes the character of the students.

🥋 Sensei (先生) – Teacher & Mentor
A teacher who teaches, guides, and inspires students both inside and outside the dojo. A Sensei serves as a role model on the journey of learning martial arts.

🥋 Sempai / Senpai (先輩) – Senior Student & Role Model
Senior students who help, support, and guide juniors. They serve as a bridge between the teacher and new students.

🥋 Kohai (後輩) – Junior Student & Learner
Junior students who are eager to learn, practice, and improve. With respect and perseverance, Kohai strives for greater heights.
