🌟 Ein ardal gwisgo fyny newydd. Dewch i chwarae rôl a gwisgo fel y bechgyn oedd yn gweithio yn y Chwarel blynyddoedd yn ôl! Dyma Ffion yn modelu i ni. Roedd hen, hen daid Ffion yn gweithio yn y Chwarel dros 100 mlynedd nôl!

🌟Our new dress up area. Come and dress up as the young boys who worked in the quarry years ago. This is Ffion modelling for us. Her great, great grandfather worked at Llanfair Quarry over 100 years ago!

☔️☀️Whatever the weather this bank holiday we have something for the whole family. Visit one or both attarctions, or just enjoy a coffee in the cafe and purchase some Cavern aged cheese.

☔️Dros y gaeaf, rydym wedi bod yn brysur yn cwblhau gwelliannau yn y Chwarel ac ar y fferm gyda chefnogaeth Llywodraeth Cymru fel rhan o’u cronfa addasu i’r tywydd.

Ychwanegwyd maes parcio newydd ar gyfer y Fferm, yn ogystal â chysgodfan yn y Chwarel. Bydd y gofod newydd hwn yn cael ei ddefnyddio ar gyfer amrywiaeth o weithgareddau, gan gynnwys arddangosfeydd hollti llechi, ac mae hefyd yn cynnwys murlun llechi bendigedig ar y wal.

Diolch yn fawr i’r busnesau lleol a helpodd i gwblhau’r prosiectau hyn mewn pryd, ac i’n holl ymwelwyr a ymunodd â ni dros wyliau’r Pasg i weld ein gwelliannau newydd ar waith.

☔️Over the winter, we’ve been busy carrying out improvements with support from the Welsh Government as part of their Wet Weather Grant.

We’ve added a new hard-standing car park for the Farm Park, as well as a shelter at the Slate Caverns. This new space will be used for a variety of activities, including slate splitting demonstrations, and also features a fantastic slate mural on the wall.

Both of these additions will be a great asset to the Slate Caverns and the Farm Park.

A big thank you to the local businesses who helped complete these projects in time, and to all our visitors who joined us over the Easter holidays and helped us see our new improvements in action.

🇧🇪 Ymwelwyr o Wlad Belg heddiw yn y Chwarel.
Fe wnaethon nhw alw heibio am daith dan ddaear ac ymweliad â’r siop anrhegion ar eu ffordd o Aberystwyth. Roeddent yn awyddus i ddysgu mwy am hanes a threftadaeth chwareli llechi yng Ngogledd Cymru. Roedd yn bleser eu croesawu!

🇧🇪 Visitors from Belgium today at the caverns. They stopped by for a guided tour and a visit to the gift shop on their way from Aberystwyth. They were keen to learn more about the history and heritage of slate mining in North Wales. It was a pleasure to welcome them!

The Under 13s have won the North Wales Coast Cup in Rhyl yesterday – an incredible achievement! 🌟

They didn’t just win as team mates today, they won as brothers. Working tirelessly for each other from the first second to the last. We asked them to press harder than they ever had before, to run more, tackle harder, put their bodies on the line, to never give up when things got tough and they did just that.
They refused to leave as the losers, they made sure they were coming home with the cup.

An incredibly special moment for them and the club. A massively talented group.
A major trophy is coming home to Dyffryn!

A season of ups & downs, but we’ve said it to them so many times we want our season to be like that. It helps them mentally more than they’ll ever know at this age. We knew what we were walking into and they took it on with their heads held high.

To everyone that has shown support online and in person these last few weeks have helped massively, the kids definitely see & feel your support. And those who donated generously and took part in our scratch card game, you ensured they travelled together which definitely helped these pre game nerves.

Thank you to the family members & friends that came and supported the lads today, it helped push them on in a “neutral ground”.

Thank you to all the parents who come to training weekly, get involved, give incredible knowledge & advice to help these lads become the best players they can be. I’m sure they made you proud today.

Lastly, boys enjoy this day, celebrate hard. It’s days like today you’ll never forget.
