Prioritise the stuff that matters.

“What’s supplements you take bro”

“What’s your workout split?”

“When should I eat carbs/should I?”

Don’t sweat the small stuff. At the start anyway.

Focus on the big picture stuff, this is what’s going to move the needle further in the direction of success.

Energy - Are you eating enough food? And are you moving enough/moving too much?☑️

(Fat-loss = move more)
(Weight gain = eat more move less)

Macronutrient - Are you getting enough protein? ☑️

(120gram of protein daily at least, in the majority of cases)

(But ideally 1g of protein per lb of body weight if building muscle)

Micros - Are you eating 8 servings of veg per day? ☑️

(Building muscle and losing fat with deficiencies is not ideal.)

Reference the priority triangle of nutrition, for the order of importance.

Your lifestyle is going to dictate how fast you get results and what results you obtain ultimately, not what pills you take.

DAY 1

During your time in bettering yourself, wether that be your health, body confidence or even taking something up hobby, that brings you enjoyment.

When you stop for a substantial period of time, you may find it hard to find motivation to start again.

So many reasons can cause this.

(life changing event, holiday, having a child, new house, new responsibility’s, stress, thrown off your routine, grief, relationship issues.)

Whatever it may be.

In my experience if you are doing life correct, and aren’t a boring cyborg. You will go through stages.

Stages where your routine is on point. You can plan everything to a tee.

Then stages where you have no idea what your even gonna be doing in the next few hours.

Are bodies reflect this.

You can only focus on so many things at once fully.

(Probably like 2 in all honesty)

(Family, relationships, work, business, grief, fun)

Once you realise that you can’t be turning up the volume on all of these parts of your life, you can stop being so hard on yourself.

Pin point what stage you think your at, and what your prioritising.
(Most likely you will need to focus on some things rather than others.)

From there you can then get the burden of you not being on point with everything, focus on what’s important at the moment.

Then you’ll be able to start to chip away, and then once your ready, get round to focusing on what you want, once everything is settled.

MISTAKES I MADE when I first started out.

🤦🏽‍♂️Ate everything in site because I needed 1G of Protein per pound of bodyweight, when I was already chubby.

🤦🏽‍♂️Thought training abs and doing cardio would get me abs.

🤦🏽‍♂️Considered doing fasting because that’s the quickest way to lose weight.

🤦🏽‍♂️Didn’t drink enough water.

Everything in life these days can be purchased, obtained and done extremely quickly.

Wether that be ordering something for it to be at your house within 12 hours.

Or google, having every answer at your finger tips.

Unfortunately are bodies are not this way.

Gaining muscle and losing fat takes time. You can’t buy it off a shelf or order it and take it as a pill. We are wired to be like this for survival. Are bodies don’t like change.

Consistency by applying simple methods overtime will get you where you want to be.

TIPS FOR GETTING SENSATIONAL SLEEP.
💤 💤 💤

Sleep is your recover. You grow outside the gym not in it, by having adequate protein and calories.

You really should prioritise your sleep for not just building muscle or losing fat. But for your overall health,mood and energy levels. 💭

Here are some pro active measure you can take TONIGHT:

-No nightcaps, aka alcohol, prevents deep sleep
-Limit social media use before bed.
-Cut off caffeine at 5:00pm
-Turn down lights in the house after 6:00pm
-Hot bath/shower then straight to bed.

Most important give yourself the opportunity to get enough sleep, if your up at 7:00pm don’t go to bed at 1:00am...

Eating out 🍟

Feel like your cheating yourself? Guilt about losing your progress? Look at it this way.

If you have 3 meals per day on average.

That’s 21 meals per week added up.

If we break that 1 meal down, over 21, into a percentage...

That makes up 4.7% over the week. A very small amount.

If you were gambling on the fat-loss lottery, and your chances were 95.3%, you’d press that button all day long.

You lose fat/weight on a weekly basis not monthly. As long as you are on track majority of the time, you’re golden.

Track your calories, make sure your in a deficit, or/and make informed choices with other meals.

Don’t stress. Keep on track!
